SUMMARY:
Guy has a fully built SRT8 jeep, supercharged with 19 lbs of boost, fully built, roll cage, 9" rear, fire supression system, GM built tranny good for 1200 awhp, 100 shot of nitrous. They just had it done for about a week, dynoed it last Thursday at 921 horses, and this happened 2 days later this Saturday at the track SITTING STILL! They revved it up, not going crazy, but chit went kaBOOM! Everybody was okay, a guy standing outside the passenger door, and somebody in the drivers seat. Fire supression went off under the hood since the tranny fluid caught on fire when it hit the exhaust. Driver was okay just a burnt hand from putting out flames inside
Long story short, he's scrapping the project, already bought another jeep he's doing a twin turbo setup on, and tearing this truck all apart and building a 100% full race duty vehicle out of it. I'd say he's got some money to play with LoL! He seemed VERY positive about everything.
Oh, and he had a trans blanket in his trailer, just never installed it
