I just looked at OKC's radar at Will Rogers and the storm tops are at 35-37000 feet.

They are the most deadly. You'll see some powerful stuff fall from those and storm tops at 50,000 feet.

The updrafts are incredible on those type of storms.

There was a rumor that a guy in our unit got one of those when I was over there.  I felt bad for the poor bastards that got the Dear John letters.

Jarhead was stupid, but so was the books author, go figure!!   Snipers where really not employed properly during the gulf war, not really till Bosnia were they used right again.
