does anybody own an english bulldog???

i really want an english bull dog when i finally get my own place. but i've heard they can be kinda of trouble some to care for. is this true?

My nephew has a female. Paid $1600 for it. You can find them cheaper but he got a top blood line.
A little spastic but not nearly as bad as a lot of the small dogs I have seen. One thing to watch for is that it will eat anything and I mean anything.  She's a little thick headed but plenty smart. One more thing make sure you are a sound sleeper because they snore like a buzz saw.

Mother in Law has one and loves it. Not the brightest animals, but cute and loyal. But, dog slobber makes me wretch. Finding one with great bloodlines and health is difficult and expensive. Heart problems, hearing, vision mostly, if I remember right..

yeah i know finding a really healthy one won't be cheap or easy to do. but i have always wanted one. my mom's boss has 2 of them and he says the burp, fart, snore, and drool like no other but they are still great. and i could deal with all of that coming from a dog that looks as cool as they do.

Old E's are cool dogs.  I want one also.  They do suffer from some medical issues though specifically becuase there lack of Sinus's.  There breeding to have a short snout and a massive under bite has conciquences 

Do allot of reasearch, and find a good breeder.  Ask all the questions you could possibly have to the breeder before you take the puppy home, you usually only get one shot!

yeah i deffently plan on doing my research. my girlfriend's family bought a golden retriever it got hip displasha(sp)and has had hip replacment surgery already and it's only about 6 years old. it's really sad they didn't look into the blood lines of the dog before getting it.

I have a 6 year old male and he is hands down the funniest dog you will ever meet.  I have always had english bulldogs and they are great. If you get one be prepared, you will never own another type of dog. 

These guys snore, fart, sneeze and burp like no other perosn or animal that you know.

They can be be a vets best friend and can have some issues no matter how good the breeding, it is just the way it is with these.  It is also worth every penny. 

Here is a pic of Ralph, he is 6 1/2 years old and weighs about 68 lbs!

I had one.His name was Bubba John.Funny ,nasty animal. Blew his nose on everything and loved to hump.One day he came in the house pissed on the fireplace ran over knocked down my wife and started humping her. bubba was gone!!!!! My brother-in-law has one "Molly" cute dog but a big smelly baby afraid of her shadow.Get one everyone should experience a real bull dog once in their life.
