can anyone tell me why i got beat by a stock 50th edition rappy?  i have a 15t and a dynojet, and i get him out of the hole but he catches up and passes me in 5th.  can anyone explain this?  both of our speed sensors are still plugged in ???  this is seriously bothering me and may cut my paycheck in half to beat him :'(  oh ya both 20" tires.

All your mods are equal  ???

There are "freaks" in all sport machines that output more power stock than others. Also is there a weight diffrence between you and the other guy?

there could be lots of factors..

Weight..

Are you running the same gearing?

Tires, same tires/wear? (could someone be hooking up better)?

If you are both stock minus the fact that you have a 15t then you could be trying to spin a little too much gearing. Sure it makes big 3 bikes faster but it could actually be making a stock bike work harder and that could be why he beat you.

There is still a lot of variables that could be the reason why you got beaten but that is just another thing that could be part of the picture.

thanks.  i would have thought that my pc3 would have gained me a weeee bit of power on the stock bike, but i guess not.  other than that weight is the same, and i would have to then point a finger at traction, i was runnin dunlop, and he had some worn out razer's.  also we both are the same height and same weight +/- 5lbs.

If you're both running stock pipes. I don't think with the PCIII you'd gain much more out of it. (if that is indeed the case)

Experience is key to racing as well.

Are you short shifting?  Makes a huge diffrence even the last shift from 4th to 5th.

If he's catching you from behind, something's not right. It makes sense you're beating him out of the hole. Your mods get you to speed quicker, but your power curve is falling flat towards top end.

this was an all out top speed, we probably went for a mile or so.  honestly in 5th gear he would slowly pull away from me.  and yes both stock pipes.  guess im throwin on a set of pipes :( sooner than i wanted.  i dont think i shifted too short from 4->5

In theory the 15t gear would make your bike faster but if you dont have the power to turn the 15t tooth then it makes sense that the other stock bike with the 14t could be pulling ahead because it is able to wind a little higher because it has the power to use "ALL" of his gearing where the 15t could be holding you back a little.

gottcha, so the only logical thing to do is make more power :grin_nod:
