I don't like shooting hoops... But, Grilling on the ice while in an 80 degree fish house in my eyes is 1000x better than that. ;) :)

fish house   That is fun too, but you are stuck there. The valley out in Socal, you can drive 2-3 hrs and be in 5 different climates.

I'm not dissing it by any means.... I know I'll be in Minn for life more than likely. Nothing like having definite seasons though.

Spring - Melty/Warm/Rainy/
Summer - Hot, Muggy
Fall - Cool
Winter - Cold

Lydia's Sis called from San Fran couple days ago. She said it was weird not having snow or cold w/ christmas trees up and decorations everywhere.

To each their own completely.  :)

And we don't see typically more than 2 weeks of sub-zero temps here.  :)

No joke about the snow at Christmas.  I would get depressed every year.  Thats when my friends decided to surprise me by renting a place in big bear for the week and we would all head up there.  Good times.  Helped a lot.

I'll take sub-zero temps vs temps higher than 100.  :)

I'd rather sweat and see ladies wearing less clothes please.

I had to go to check on a job in palm springs in august.  But by night I was in huntington beach hanging at a bonfire.

Or up sking in big bear in the morning and surfing by late afternoon.

That was cool, riding in a VW Kampervan through the mountains with 8 ft snow drifts, down to the beach. Awesome. Don't remember the area, I was 5 or 6.

I can't imagine the ocean is all that warm this time of year?  Australias's southern coast durning their winter the water was I'd say... 50-55 degrees.

I looked it up, our average temp for the winter in my parents region is 12 degrees. That's not all bad. :)

That means sauna's aren't even as fun either... It's awesome when it's like 5 degrees out, you're in a shack that's about 115-120 degrees. Chillin. Go out roll in the snow and run back in!

the ocean stays warm for awhile, still cold by most standards. In the early spring, f**king Icicles!

Pacific Ocean is cold year round.

Atlantic is pretty warm year round, it's nice around the Keys this time of year.

What I like about South Florida....you're 45 minutes from Nassau, 90 minutes from Montego Bay, and 120 minutes from San Juan!

socal water is always cold.  But when i surfed I always wore a wetsuit.  Felt fine in the winter.  Plus the sun was warm.

I think it was really bad one year.  I remember passing on surfing one time because I couldn't even walk in the water.
