Wow.

I don't think I'd trust 8300 miles w/out an oil change. w/ the scion I broke it in w/ a synthetic blend 50/50. every 2500 miles. now I'm to full synthetic and I'll do 6000, but changing the oil filter @ 3000.
i cant wait to get a car so i dont have to change oil every 5-10 hours

I have a MINI and they say something like 15k oil change.  Yeah right.  Oil is cheap, engines are not.  They have the oil monitor too, I don't think I'll be trusting it.

Same here.

I won't put 3000 miles on my car in a year.

I just figured that I put 12604 miles on the white devil in exactly one year.  My air filter was filthy.  I suck.   :(

I'm running Amsoil in my truck now.  At 5K miles I'm going to send a sample of the used oil into them.  They will do an analysis and tell you the suggested service life for your vehicle.

Just got back to our ohare office.  That was F   ckin sweet today.  First time ever I got to sit up in the cockpit.  Plus since it was all vip on the plane the captain kept the doors open so you could go up and talk to him, plus look out to see what his view is like.  Tower was nuts, I loved the view up there.  Also I got to chat with Daley for a bit on the plane....that guy is all business.  Had a killer buffet in the united hanger and ate myself silly.  All in all that was an uber cool day.

You guys made the news...It was on CNN today.

What type of aircraft did you guys fly on today?

United?

~Brian

Brand new united airlines Boeing 757.  Did the CEO of Boeing make the news?  He tripped coming out of the plane and twisted his ankle, almost went man down right in front of me.  I would of died laughing.

BG is doing that for me.  They sampled the Rotella and it held up really well.  I'll see how their synthetic brand does.  The report was pretty sweet.  I really like their stuff.

I've spent lots of time on the 757.

Most recently 9 hours total flying time between DFW-San Juan.

It was what I needed at the time, and I got a good price.  It's been a good truck so far.  The Diesel will come when I ready to get a toyhauler.

Actually, I do have some time on the deck. Not extensive, but I've got to sit in the sheepskin seats. I'm the nerd that's the last one off the airplane if time permits. My favorite flight deck has been the Triple 7. State of the art!!!! I got to fly on that aircraft in 2000 from DFW to Miami. Cool thing about the 757....You can make the jump to the 767 with little training. Flight deck is identical.

Boeing built 1,050 (includes 200 and 300 series birds) of them between 1982-2004.

Freakin' awesome.
