Actually I think it would be kinda cool to here a piano alone in the woods.  Can't say I've ever heard one in the out doors without a microphone or electronic pick-up to amplify the sound.

Someone just wanted to play, and didn't want to be be bothered........FAIL

Canadians who may have become tired of being passed over as porn stars will have a new, home-grown outlet to showcase their erotic talents.

Federal regulators have granted Alberta-based Real Productions approval to launch a new digital pornography channel, which promises to serve up at least 50 percent domestic content.

The Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) approved the Category 2 pay-television service on Wednesday, allowing Northern Peaks to become "Canada's first adult video channel offering significant Canadian adult content."

"I think as Canadians there is a bit of a tiredness in seeing all American stuff," Shaun Donnelly, president of Real Productions, said during an interview on Friday.

"There is always that thrill for something that is local and you get the sense that these are people you can meet at the supermarket."

The CRTC only required 15 percent Canadian content, but Northern Peaks agreed to provide "not less than 50 percent of the broadcast day and not less than 50 percent of the evening broadcast period to Canadian programming," according to the license.

"We want to be Canada's adult channel and I think to do that, 15 percent wouldn't cut it," Donnelly said.

Real Productions boasts the largest collection of Canadian adult-themed content in the country with more than 200 film titles and 75 television episodes in its library.

The regulator stipulated the license will only be issued once Real Productions enters into an agreement with at least one licensed distributor.

Donnelly, who has also produced television programs for Playboy TV in the U.S. and Granada Television in Britain, said all five major Canadian cable and satellite carriers have expressed interest in hosting the channel and are reviewing the proposal.

"I've been in touch with the cable companies throughout the process and went ahead with it based on the interest we had," he said

Northern Peaks will be restricted to certain types of programming including long-form documentaries, dramatic series, feature films, game shows, mini-series, sitcoms and made-for-TV movies.

The CRTC received no interventions in connection with the application, which was initially launched in October 2007.

CNN-- A Missouri woman was convicted of three misdemeanor counts in the case of a 13-year-old girl who committed suicide after she was criticized on the Web site MySpace.com.

Megan Meier, 13, hanged herself in her bedroom after being targeted in a MySpace hoax.

1 of 2  But a jury declined to convict Lori Drew of the more serious conspiracy charge in a landmark case testing the limits of cyberbullying.

Drew, 49, of O'Fallon, Missouri, was accused of fraudulently using the site to pose as a teenage boy who feigned romantic interest in the girl, Megan Meier.

Meier committed suicide after her perceived love interest spurned her, telling her the world would be a better place without her, according to federal prosecutors.

At the time of her death, Meier's family and Drew's family lived near each other in suburban St. Louis.

Drew was convicted of three counts of accessing protected computers without authorization to obtain information to inflict emotional distress on Meier.

U.S. District Judge George Wu declared a mistrial on a fourth count of conspiracy after a California jury failed to reach a verdict.

After the verdicts were read, Drew's defense attorneys said they intend to file a motion for a new trial on the misdemeanor counts. That motion must be filed by December 29.

The original charges against Drew carried a maximum penalty of five years in prison upon conviction. The misdemeanor charges each carry a maximum penalty of a year in prison and a fine of $100,000, according to Thom Mrozek, spokesman for the U.S. attorney's office in the Central District of California.

Drew was indicted in May. The indictment was returned in Los Angeles, California, because MySpace is based there.

The indictment alleges that Drew and others created an account on MySpace under the name "Josh Evans" and used the account to contact Meier, beginning what the girl thought was an online romance with a 16-year-old boy.

With those actions, prosecutors alleged that Drew violated MySpace's terms of service by using fraudulent information to obtain personal information about a juvenile and to "harass, abuse or harm other members."

After prosecutors rested their case, defense attorneys filed a motion to dismiss the charges against Drew, calling them "absurd."

Drew and her alleged co-conspirators never read the terms of service, so they could not have intentionally violated them, defense attorneys argued.

"The defendant is on trial for intentionally violating MySpace's terms of service," the motion says. "However, the government has offered no evidence whatsoever that the defendant or any of the alleged co-conspirators intentionally violated MySpace's terms of service."

In response, prosecutors said they did not have to show that Drew had read the terms of service to prove she knew that her accessing the MySpace servers was unauthorized.

"[The defendant] knew her conduct in helping to create a fictitious juvenile account and then use this account to torment another juvenile, M.T.M, was 'illegal,' wrong and in violation of MySpace's rules, yet continued using the MySpace account to further this conduct," prosecutors said in their response to the motion to dismiss.

The judge reserved making a ruling, opting to see what the jury's verdict would be, a common move in federal trials, Mrozek said.

Missouri prosecutors declined to bring charges against Drew in December. At the time, St. Charles County Prosecutor Jack Banas said Drew had arranged for the MySpace account to be set up in order to find out what Meier was saying about her daughter.

Serves the bitch right.
