A contestant on The Biggest Loser has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a housemate with a bag of flour.

The same day that the NBC reality show debuted, Shanon Thomas, 30, was charged with domestic violence Tuesday, according to the Detroit Free Press.

If convicted, she could face more than three months in jail.

See what other celebs looked like when they got arrested.

According to police, on Dec. 16, Thomas assaulted a man who lived in the basement of her suburban Detroit home after he had the TV volume too high.

She is alleged to have "kicked open the door" to his basement apartment and threw flour in his face, damaging some of his personal property in the process.

He has since moved out.

See today's top celeb news photos.

Thomas, who is a massage therapist, was arraigned and released on $2,000 bond after being taken into custody.

On Loser, she makes up one half of the Pink Team. Her teammate, Helen Phillips, is her mother

Moped driver with meth lab among 4 arrested in Warsaw

Kyle Dean Miller (top left), Jacob Paul Miller (top right), Mindy Sue Ditton (bottom left), and Morgan Rachael Wood (bottom right) were arrested Tuesday, January 6, in related drug and stolen property crimes in Warsaw.

Warsaw, Indiana — A moped driver carrying a mobile methamphetamine lab was one of four arrested Tuesday in related drug and stolen property crimes.

tip led the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force to the 1400 block of East Fort Wayne Street in Warsaw. There officers with a search warrant arrested 36-year-old Jacob Paul Miller, a resident of the house, on preliminary charges of dealing meth, possibly receiving stolen property, and an outstanding warrant for restricted sale of ephedrine. His bond was set at $21,500.

Another resident of the house, 33-year-old Mindy Sue Ditton, was preliminarily charged with possession of an illegal drug lab after the Kosciusko DTF found several precursors for the production of meth. She was also preliminarily charged with possession of paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $5,000.

Stolen property in the house led officers to the 600 block of East Center Street, where they found more stolen property and arrested Morgan Rachael Wood, 24, for possession/receiving stolen items. Her bond was set at $2,000.

Officers returned to the E. Fort Wayne Street address, where 49-year-old Kyle Dean Miller later drove up on a moped carrying a mobile meth lab that police say was in a "volatile state."

Miller was arrested for dealing meth. His bond was set at $20,000.

The mobile lab was a type informally termed a "one potter," which cooks meth using one container. The gasses produced can lead to an explosion if the container isn't "burped" every 15 to 20 minutes, say police. The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab team was called in to secure it.

At the time of Tuesday's arrest, Miller was out on bond after a December 29 arrest for possession of meth.

Illinois House impeaches Gov. Rod Blagojevich

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- The Illinois House has voted to impeach Gov. Rod Blagojevich (bluh-GOY'-uh-vich), an unprecedented step in state history.

The action sets the stage for a Senate trial on whether he should be thrown out of office for corruption and abuse of power.

House members found evidence that the two-term Democrat had abused his power, including improperly spending tax money, adopting programs without legislative approval and violating state hiring laws. He's denied wrongdoing.

The House began impeachment proceedings after federal authorities arrested Blagojevich Dec. 9. He's accused, among other things, of attempting to sell an appointment to fill President-elect Barack Obama's vacant U.S. Senate seat for political favors.

WASHINGTON – Get ready for the in-law in chief.

Transition officials said Friday that President-elect Barack Obama's mother-in-law, Marian Robinson, is moving into the White House to join Michelle Obama and their two children.

It's not clear whether the move will be permanent.

Katie McCormick Lelyveld, the press secretary for Michelle Obama, said Robinson would decide in coming months whether she wants to stay in Washington.

Robinson retired from her job as a bank executive secretary to help with her granddaughters during the campaign.

WTF?

I'm sure it's on the taxpayers.

Thats some BS, we get to pay for her to live there.  I'm sure that will cost a pretty penny.  Looks like Obama Mania is wearing off, even some dems are pissed with some of his plans.

I think they have come to reality that the stimulus plan must be reworked. It's going to take a bigger stimulus than planned to get things going.

Obama's mother in law is the children's nanny. They will pay her $6,000 per month.

I got dibs on the Lincoln bedroom!

NEW YORK  —  It is perhaps the most intriguing unsolved mystery from the gaudy gangland career of John Gotti: Whatever happened to the neighbor who accidentally ran over and killed the mobster's 12-year-old son — and then vanished?

John Gotti

According to papers filed this week in Brooklyn federal court, John Favara was shot to death on orders of the outraged Gambino crime family chief and his body was dissolved in a barrel of acid. Authorities said a cooperating witness identified Charles Carneglia, a 62-year-old former mobster, as the perpetrator in the 1980 incident.

The court documents said Carneglia told another informant that acid was "the best method to use to avoid detection."

Those details, in a 44-page evidence motion by federal prosecutors for a racketeering trial, offered a new twist on the fate of Favara, a 51-year-old furniture warehouse worker who lived near the Gottis in the Howard Beach section of Queens.

Favara was arriving home from work on March 18, 1980, when Gotti's son Frank, riding a minibike, darted in front of his car. The driver told police he was momentarily blinded by the sun and did not see the boy.

The crash was ruled an accident by police, but Favara was subjected to death threats and harassment for months. His car was stolen and later smeared with the word "murderer," and he was threatened by Gotti's bat-wielding wife when he tried to apologize.

Five months later, on July 28, 1980, Favara disappeared after leaving work on Long Island and no trace of him was ever found. Witnesses saw him being beaten and heard tires squealing. The Gottis gave police hotel receipts showing they were in Florida on that date, and no arrests were ever made.

Jerry Capeci, an author and expert on the Mafia who has written extensively on Gotti, said rumors circulated that "Favara's body had been put into a cement-filled oil drum and dropped in the ocean."

John Gotti Sr. at that time was a captain in the Gambino family, already scheming and murdering his way to becoming boss. After two courtroom acquittals that earned him the sobriquet "Teflon Don," the swaggering hoodlum was finally convicted in 1992 of murder, racketeering and a smorgasbord of other crimes. He died in federal prison in 2002.

Carneglia, according to the court documents, was part of a seven-member hit squad that committed murders on order and disposed of the victims. He faces trial for racketeering and five murders.

The prosecutors' motion, signed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Roger Burlingame, includes Favara's case among several "uncharged crimes."

Carneglia has pleaded not guilty. His attorneys did not immediately respond to requests for comment Thursday.

The new revelation raises yet another question for experts who have been studying gangland activities.

Asks Capeci: "What kind of acid could be used in a metal drum without leaking?"
