I wore shorts to work today.

It's going to be close to 80 today, with a slight chance of rain.

A messy March day in Minnesota Tuesday. Snow, rain, wind, blowing snow, and even thunder are all possible across the state Tuesday. A late winter storm approaches from the southwest and pushes into Wisconsin by late Tuesday. As with many March storms some areas will get pounded by the wet heavy March snow and others will just see rain and hardly a coating. The temperatures will drop throughout the day and in the metro we will be right on the cusp of rain and snow throughout most of the day. Northwest of the metro it will be colder all day and the snow will be lighter and with the winds expected to be gusting over 30 mph, blowing and drifting will be a issue later Tuesday through this evening.

Colder air is a certainty by later Tuesday night through Thursday morning and then we will start to warm back up. Temperatures will ramp from single digits Wednesday morning to the 40s by Saturday. Belinda Jensen
