Fascist dictator Benito Mussolini seizes power in Italy, with the assistance of the Catholic Church. Pope Pius XI declared "Mussolini is a man sent by divine providence." Usually, because of the longer build cycle on our custom built boats this is our busy time of the year because people want spring deliveries. The orders are way down, but we have enough to keep a reduced force working.

Today I go out and Sea Trial one of our little 32 footers, it looks like it's going to be a beautiful day on the water......to try and break shit on a boat  :)

That makes sense. I suppose people want to get out and show off the new rigs as soon as possible.

32's seem small to me now, as the lions share of the boats we have built the past year have been 37's,42's 49's and 54's.

Peels,
The sea trials are fun especially on nice days, but as with anything else after a while it's a job. I spend most of my time doing QA inspections and technical service to our customers who are out of warranty. I do love this company and my job here. I am going on 10 years at this company and I hope GERD willing, to be able to retire from here.

Busy Sir. Our industry seems to grow when economy slides. Mostly because 90% of our work is non-profit, helping people in need. GERD knows, there are alot like that these days. And...the fall is the busy season, gearing up for T-giving and Xmas, the busiest giving seasons. So all is good, but I am tired.`Looks like more weekend work coming up.

You do insurance? Business hurting there?
