Yep, they built a bio-fuel station down the street here right before the market crunch, and gas went down. The dealership across the road has all their flex-fuel vehicles out on the front lawn with writing on the windows advertising that they use bio-fuels. Nobody is buying them...or the gas.

There was a bioodisel place that opened up on the old highway, and we would get tons of trucks in on a hook because the new disels aren't biudiesel friendly.

It's now closed.

They don't advertise E85, they just put a disclaimer on the pump that says "This product may contain 10% ethonol".

~Brian

I thought E85 would mean it was 15% ethanol?

Gas is 1.98 here, diesel from 3.35 and up.

Flynbyu

Correct, E85 is an 85-15 blend, but gas pumps here just say fuel may contain 10% ethonol. It doesn't make much sense, that's for sure.

Vehicles that are not E85 compatible will still run on E85, but aren't near as efficient. We have a 2001 Tahoe that usually gets around 380-400 miles on a tank of gas, but when a blended fuel it get's closer to 350-365 miles per tank. The Corvette gets around 280-300 miles per tank driving around town (less if your on the juice alot) and around 375 when out on the highway. It is E85 compatible.

YOu might be redneck (or in OK) if the price for Skoal and copenhagen is prominently displayed on the gas station sign

Flynbyu

Hell yeah!

A day without Copehagen is like a day without sunshine here.
