There was a plan I saw/read about, it's a 2 seater, single engine, almost like an ultra-lite. But.. you only need like 30 some hours of fly time to fly it. I forget the price. I'll have to look it up again. looked pretty sweet, really tiny.. if you're in the air and you run out of gas. there's a parachute on top that deploys and you float to the ground.

You most likely have to have a sport pilot's license to operate it.

rules changed a few years back. I believe it was anything with ore than one seat, you automatically need a sport license.
