question for your question beans

Can a TBI suffer like a carb at extreme angles?  I know the rockcrawler dues out here run full injector set ups becuase of extreme angle hesitation and stall due to carb issues.

To me then it depends on the applications you plan on doing with it.  Mudding, and general romping around I'd choose the 383.  If your really going extreme climbing then TBI.

I'd go with the hottness  ;)

I was going to do a 350 TBI setup for my 3rd gen. But the tuning was a bitch and i was not about to buy all these cables and try to tune it myself. And the 3rd gen forum was no help. It might of been easier with an automatic trans but mine was manual and they didnt offer a chip for a manual 350 car. I would build up a 383 with the holley truck avenger carb. I do have a Crane cams ignition system for sale out of my TBI with a PS 92 coil and a harness for TBI external coil. It was used for about 3 years. Still have the books for it If your interested.

I'll sell you my 454 TBI set up. Yes the TBI will cut out like a carb at extreme. The fuel rail set ups are direct injection into the cylinder.

couple things with this. yes it will cut out with stock unit but with 30 psi+ it will be hard.  tbi and carbs cannot be compaired far as cutting out on angles.with the proper set up this unit can be relieable. what do you want for the 454 stuff.
