Tragic Accident in Oregon Dunes
« on: September 28, 2008, 02:07:31 AM »
Wasn't sure where to post it, this seems the most appropriate place. It's been on my mind all day. Very tragic accident in the Oregon Dunes last night. I know the guy that was by himself in one of the sand rails.

Drinking and motosports of any type do not mix. Safety gear? Seat belts , helmets. The same stuff happens at Glamis and other spots due to the same reason, late night riding and drinking. The deal is all the familys are left alive to grieve and mourn. They are the ones that suffer. And it happens to the ones that think it could never happen to them. My heart goes out to the the families that lost their loved ones and the ones that face months or years of recovery.

I totally agree. Far too many tragedies can be avoided by keeping alcohol out of the mix. It's just not worth it.

We don't know the details of the accident, so I have no idea what really happened. He's in a coma so he hasn't been able to tell his side of the story. I feel so bad for all involved.
