I rode my buddy's R1 last week before I bought it and I almost changed my mind. That thing was way too much for me right now with my experience.

I don't understand why the MFG's build fast bikes, are they meant to be track riden or just haul the mail on public roads    The speed limit is a joke unless your doubling it

+1 but I find myself rationalizing extra speed by thinking in percentages....

IE:  "well, if I go just 90, then I am only 30% over"  It is hard to resist not doing wheelies, or nailing the throttle at 6000 rpm. "insta-boner"  Thus, it is for sale. I need a tourer.

+1 to the Peels!! I love getting on the freeway and ducking behind the windscreen and just pushing every gear almost to the redline!!!!

Or the best part of the day is just to cruise on the freeway at about 65mph and then right next to me here comes a Honda Civic straight out of the circus!  Revving the engine.  Thats when I tell him to go, and I just keep up next to him for a little bit, waive bye and take off!!! Dumb Ass!!

I know....gears 4-6 are superficial. 3rd gear can hit 130 on my FZ1 :grin_nod:

thats the exact reason my gf doesnt want me to get one, i told her i would wait till im like 20 but no...  but she said i can get a fourwheeler of my choice, if it has two seats
