Quotefirst off i'm not wanting to go with a big bore. i want to stay stock bore. but what do you guys suggest for a trail/dune/playing around on the street raptor. i'm thinking a cam, piston, port and polish, and bored TB. but i don't know what kind of these and how much any of them cost. i'm just wondering what you guys think would be good for what i ride. also if it matters i will probably run pump gas most of the time and maybe some race fuel every now and then.

Trail/Playing/duning  the +5 crank should put a smile on your face and with a lower compression piston you could get away with running pump fuel . If you have any questions contact us. We're happy to help !

I thought Bo was done porting.  ???

My CP piston was $190. You sure about that $100? If so, let me know where!  :grin_nod:

I'm very happy with my build. Very mild, yet really noticed a difference! Basically the same thing you are wanting minus the porting.
Depends on what day you ask me lol.

Damn it Bo! Everytime I do some side work to save some money the wife don't know about for you to port my head you post that you're not doing that anymore.  .........then I spend it on something else.  :(

I contacted JE and asked them what octane I needed for their 12.5:1 piston. They said 100 octane minimum.

You might want to talk to Kenny about options (IE Lipstick on a pig thread)

i was actually thinking about getting one of his pistons. but i'm still not sure where i can get race fuel. and i'm just curious how much does say 110 octane cost? and how much does the price go up or down?

It goes for $5.50 - $10.50 per gallon where I live. If it's a pain to get high octane fuel, you might want to stick with 11:1.

I believe stock is 9.2:1. Yes, 11:1 is safe with premium pump fuel. I have no detonation with my setup at sea level running premium.

Peelz

Jetmech, from this forum, (with a "slow" banshee) buys 112 octane race gas and mixes it with 91 before oil mixing it. Seems crazy but it seems to work. Over $20 a gallon....ay caramba

:jaw:

He works at an airport, it is a certain type of avgas.

It was 6 something at silver lake.  I don't think thats too bad, I fill my 5 gallon jug for just over 30 bucks.  Worth it to me.
