What do you guys think about the GYTR exhaust system??

It would be combined with:
FCI Intake
Power Programmer
Dynojet Ignition Module

Would this set-up make a difference???

BRAD

it would make a pretty good difference you would be very pleased with it. but most guys on here will go ahead and tell ya to get a set of duals.
2007 GYTR Raptor
ROCK series skids
Yoshimura RS7
Motoworks Fuel programmer-(Dobeck Style)
Holeshot HD tires

I had the gytr full system and I loved it........but if there is a .00000000000000000000000000000000001% chance that you'll go into the engine someday I would say to go with the duals.

The only reason I am thinking about the GYTR exhaust is due to noise levels.  The place clsoe to me, Hollister Hills, is a P.I.T.A. and really @n@l when it come to noise levels.  Recently a friend got cited for having the exhaust at 99 db.  I want some performance and still be able to ride at the more strict places.

The gytr without the quite core is LOUD.  My barkers seem quieter.

One of the reasons I went with duals is because they are quieter than most singles. Barkers with quiet cores are not obnoxious at all.

As far as the GYTR exhaust, I've read good things about them. I've heard the performance tip....LOUD!! From what I've read, the quiet tip is supposed to put you around 96db.

I was thinking about the GYTR since all I need to do to ride at Hollister is swap tips!! Is the barkers the same way or how do they use the quiet core??

QC for barkers fit right underneath the end caps (Three allen head blots)

Decisions, decisions, decisions!!!!!!!   :'( :'( :'(

Ya just have to narrow it down.

How much do you want to spend?
What noise level are you looking for?
Will you ever do anything inside the engine?
Are you looking for an exhaust with the most power gains?

Answering these types of questions should help you narrow down your options.

These are easy:
How much do I want to spend?  Don't really matter as long as I get what I want!!

Noise level?  This is where I am having issues.  There are a few places around where I live to ride, they are all a pain in the @$$ when it come to noise.  All have to be under 98db!!

Engine work?  I don't think so.  I should be happy with the Power Commander, Igniton Mod, Intake, and Exhaust.  I won't be doing any racing, may be a few at Pismo Beach but thats just straight line, nothing big.

Exhaust with the most power gains?  Yeah.  Don't just want to go with the bling factor. A little more power would be nice!!

I have pretty much narrowed things down:
Monster Duals
Barker Duals
GYTR
Stock with Phoenix SA
all of the above with be combined with Power Commander, Ignition Mod, and FCI Intake.

So I just have to decide based on :
#1 Noise Level
#2 Power Gains
#3 Appearance

Either barkers w/QC or GYTR w/quiet tip will get you below 98db. More power will be gained with the duals, especially if you ever do engine upgrades. But the GYTR will also give you some good gains.

I run the Barkers with QC and have never been check for sound I ride at Pismo plus Oregon dunes.  Most of the time I pull the QC out and just grab an extra gear when I see the Rangers... :grin_nod: But I also have them with me at the truck and say I thought I put them in!!  ???   Oh, no I better go do that right now.......   :grin_nod:

Smart move.  Then you are safe if you ever decide to go into the engine.
