Opinions on this wheel and tire combo

I will be ordering a set of sand tires and wheels. 
Any opinions, pro's and cons of this combo:

ITP C-Series Type 6 wheels and Sand Star tires
size:
front - 22x8-12
rear  - 22x11-12




OR

ITP T-9 Pro Series wheels and Sand Star tires.
size:
front - 21x7-10
rear  - 20x11-10

They are strong, but heavy like the others have said.

I think he meant which sand dunes.  ;) Types of sand varies alot, therefore tire needs also varies.

The fancy wheels look killer but they are way heavy and don't hold the bead for shit, you'll be airing them up alot.  If you're not worried about being the fastest you can be and like the looks, I'd go for it.  The sandstars are a good turning and decent all around paddle as well.  If you drag or climb much I'd get a straight paddle instead.

Probably about 3-4 times what a Douglas Blue Label weighs...

I personally would stay away from the 12" wheels/tires.  Very limited tire selection if you decide to try out something different later.  Also the resale will be poor for the same reason.

Im running the sand stars and I love them. good all around. I ride Oregon dunes and sand mountain Nevada. they could use a little more forward bite.(haulers are better for going straight ) but other than that there great. :thumbs:

lucky bass-turd!  J/K I have some family in Arroyo Grande and San Luis Obispo. Trying to plan a dunes trip out there in 2010. It is absolutely beautiful down there! :thumbs:
