Did he just scrape the small air dam that deflects air up toward the motor?

I scrape that coming in and out of my drive, no big deal.

Vipers do get very hot on the inside.

Your dad my want to consider having it under coated to help insulate it a bit. It will help a little. The Corvette center console gets warm (Transmission is located just underneath it), but nothing really bad. My car also has black leather, and can get warm when the clear top is in, but it stays in the garage and never sits in the sun without a top in.

Glad you guys made it home in one piece. Tell your dad I said congrats on his new car. I can tell you anything you need to know about it with the last eight digits of the VIN should you have any questions.

we scraped the black piece and also a few scrapes on the bumper it self, but cant see it unless ur head is directly under the bumper  :lol: as the day went on, the heat got better so i dont think my dad is too worried about it
thanks for that brian, we did check it out before buying. it was there since march and has been at the same dealership and the record look pretty good so no worries there

also, i sat on a 700 at the stealership and it felt ok. not really really comfy but not bad at all. thinking with a lower bend bars it would be pretty sweet. also sat on a ltr and thought it was pretty sweet :clap:

Are you guys bracing for some rain from the hurricane coming?

We are getting refugees at the airport like crazy now. We've had 7 flights so far bringing people from New Orleans.
