Yamaha Raptor 250
« on: August 18, 2008, 03:24:08 PM »
Hey has anyone else got to ride one of those new 250's? I got to ride one today and it is one fun ass little maching. Definitely not a POS 250ex. It had a really peppy enging and was so unbelievably light. i got to jump it too and before i have never really been able to control an atv in the air but i could with that one. pulled through the gears really nicely for me definitely wasnt that fast though but i had a blast on all 15 minutes i got to ride it.

it wsa definately designed with beginner racing in mind
i honestly wouldnt mind owning one but i want something with a little more power
and they look outstanding too

ive never rode a raptor 350 but i have rode an old warrior and it definately was not faster than a warrior
but it did seem to me that it accelerated better because it felt like it had much shorter gears

the exhaust was upgraded to the the raptor but other than that i think they're identical...

but how can you have shorter gears than a 350 raptor, the dam 6 speed has me shifting every ten seconds....
