My aunt does it to this day when their pigs have babies. razorblade to the sack. cut em' out. Little iodione/disinfectant spray. and call it a day.

I don't get that.  I would feel better about it if they gave them something for the pain.  But I guess I should expect that from you back woods people.

Yup.

I did this in school in FFA. A friend of mine had a hog farm, and this was standard proceedure when the hogs where  a week or so old.

Yup....That was the thing to do in school here..... I did it for the shop time...welding, etc.. I was high county individual for three years in a row in several events.

Gotcha! We didn't have FFA @ my school which was weird since at least 50% of the people there lived or worked on farms. ???
