WOW, that's alot of arguing over 1.5-2 hp. I personally think it is a good idea. WHen you are trying to squeze every last ounce of power out of an engine. Why not evacuate the cranckase? They would be sealed from the factory otherwise... might as well not let more air back in. You are not actually gaining hp, but rather losing less. Sounds efficient.
