We're really hit or miss while on call, I've gone a full week w/out getting paged.

same here-new machine zero time to learn. GOt it running yesterday, scheduled to ran....yesterday! Had to stay late and go over porcedures. Then I was home for ten minute before they blew a breaker. I don't even know where they are yet! Could not explain via phone-in I go!

Damn, that's some BS.. Gotta love when they rush projects and expect you to know it all.. We're having that happen right now. Our Developers have had over 1 year to move their SQL Databases from 2000 to 2005... All have to be migrated by end of next month. The past 2 months I bet we've had 200+ requests for developers FINALLY moving the databases over.... fricken bastards!
