Meh... If I could make it without having to make a cent. I would. Work is over rated. Money is over rated.

i feel that way partly. I remember considering the move back out to the west. I was looking at some related jobs that could pay double what I make. I was thinking that means I could work half the time that way earn the same.  Then the reality of the real estate market out there hit me. $200k for a trailer in San Jose.  ::)

I LOOOOOVE my credit union....5.5% It is bad though. I call them and they say "when do you want it?" They should be rational and say NO! Lil red shoulder devils.....

yep, market sliding out there, the bubble has burst. Saw it coming. Parents bought their house for 30k in 75' sold for 125k in 89, on market for 640k in 2005. Back on market for 450k- sliding but not stable.

It will still keep going down.  I'm sure we'll see the bottom in a year or two.  But would your wife ever want to go back?

yes, but she is from Iowa. So the deal would have to be pretty sweet. Would need to live comfortably. Don't want her in a strange place and be scraping by. When I looked into a printshop manager job in San Francisco, income was outstanding, but would barely be able to afford a decent condo. 120k a year pay. decent housing north of 700k nearby.  wow! will normalize I hope and I'll think about it again. I do like living here, though. Life is easy.

gas 3.52 this morninig. ;)

We would be sitting @ about 3.70ish.. Part of our state tax goes to a gas fund to lower gas prices for us in Minn. :) :)
