my issue with the outlaw is the lack of fit and finish.  Same as the predator IMO.  Just seems like they thew some plastics at it and bolted it down without much thought.  The over the tank plastics on the preddy made it impossible to squeeze the quad with your knees mid air
The new Outlaws all have metric fasteners now

there was a renegade at the drag races i was at yesterday... he ran three classes. 500+ ute, he won that easily, even beat the a.c. 1000... he ran the 401+ stock, won that too!... he beat like 3-4 450's and the championship was against a guy that owned a dealership, he had a crazy lookin kfx450 and he beat that by like 3 lengths... last one he ran was the 401+ modified... he ended up taking second in there, lost to this wicked fast yfz... he did beat a quadzilla with some sort of bike motor in it tho... and in the race he lost it was within a tire length... needless to say i was pretty impressed with it!! the only thing i could see he had was an hmf and maybe tires im not sure tho

have you seen the vid on youtube of the guy with a turbo renegade. Dayum! spins all 4 tires like he was on ice. I would like to ride that once.

no i havent seen it ill look it up later tho... seriously tho those things are crazy fast for a ute... he hit 62 a few times. the fastest of the day was a 450r tho, he hit 67 on one run. but he got beat by the renegade =p i didnt think to take pics of many of them, only the crazy lookin quadzilla and then a bad pic of the kfx, i was too far away haha

outher then a 700, suzuki 450 ------------ why??  ------ low wide stance, great for sliding and jumping

I really dont need another quad, but I would like to pick up a big bore utility quad for work and mud.  I have always been a Yamaha guy, and I like the grizz, but it just doesn't have enough power...my wolverine 450 is just as fast.  So if I were to buy a new quad today, out of anything made...it would definitely be the new 09 Polaris Sportsman 850...70 HP STOCK!!  I would be in the market for one next spring, but I'm thinking its boat time for me...enough 4 wheel toys.

As far as the Renegade goes...a buddy of mine has one, and we have raced about 100 times...both quads stock.  On the road, he kills me off the line, and I catch him just as I'm popping into 5th gear, and I keep pulling away.  On the sand, I beat him from start to finish (him on stock tires in 4x4, me on sandstar paddles).  I'm also about 240, and he is around 200...so with a lighter driver, the raptor would be even faster.
'07 powerwheels raptor...with a belt driven twin screw centrifugal turbocharger!  Wait for it, wait for it...!

I'm with you langford, I want a utility quad. I have the prairie 360. I followed a grizzly down a creek just as well but I want more power, the grizz 700 will be next. It doesn't have a ton of power but it is plenty. I want the EFI and power steering. They handle well, too.

They are damn nice overall, just a little lacking on power compared to the rest of the big bores.  My buddy had one that I put a bit of seat time on, and it is by far the most comfortable quad I have ever been on.  I do really like the 08 special edition grizz, but the polaris just has me hooked with the 70hp.

that is damn good for a quad. It is a twin, i take it? I'l go check it out.  I still am a Yamaha guy as well, but a good machine is a good machine.

Its really hard to beat polaris utes. I have grown up on a 93 350 4x4. beat the piss out of it on a weekly basis. It never missed a beat, NO MAINTANCE WHAT SO EVER. Then we upgraded to a 02 sportsman 500. that was one nice quad!! Sank it to the handle bars and its still ticking.
Just a little 81hp trail bike.
