Warrior 350 nerf bars
« on: July 23, 2008, 05:59:44 PM »
I know it ain't a raptor 350, but it's almost the same so here it goes.

I fabricated some nerf bars from nothing and here are the result of my costum builting.

It cost me 10$ for a 1 inch square tubing x10" 10$ for the netting and about 10$ for hardware ( I wanted some allen head bolt ) 10$ for a can of textured semi-gloss black paint. I already had some spare steel part laying around too...They are REALLY sturdy, it almost feel like they are part of the frame, I can actually jump on 'em and they don't even flex  ;)

I only need to sew the netting now...  :hammer:

Here's the  results

Well all of these were required :

1 Wiring needed to be revised as the previous owned screw it up a little bit...
2 The engine was burning and loosing oil.. It took more oil than a banshee does  so I had no choice but to rebuilt it...
3 rebuilt of the rear shock... cost me 200 $ because - AGAIN - the retard that had it before me took a pair of vise grip and "played" with the floating piston in the ressy... Which lead in a mix of oil and gaz.... no good.
It was making " SQUEEEECCCCHKK" everytime I hit bump  Stadium suspension rocks, a local company but I can only praise them, I can compare them to TCS

4 Some part of the frame were cracked, no hazardous place but it bothered me, grab bar mount, bent front bumper mount and some other details...

So I ended up tearing it up all apart

Painted the frame the same as the raptor 700 blue a-arms. SHINY eh ? :)

As for Orange plastics, they're all bend/cracked/burnt so I made a try one painting them... Flashy lol
