Looks like they will offer two V8 engines......They will offer a 4.3L V8 (L99*).

*A 4.3 L version of the LT1, designated the L99, was introduced in 1994 for the Chevrolet Caprice. It was externally identical to the LT1, but the bore was reduced to 3.736" and the stroke to 3.00" (similar to the late sixties Chevrolet 302 used in the first-generation Camaro Z28s). The pistons used in the L99 were the same as the ones used in the Vortec 5000 with the use of 5.94" connecting rods.

Every cars debute year its always on top, thats why the re-design them. Ford is due for a revamp soon, so we shall see. Ford has been taking some BIG steps in the right dirrection recently.

LOL way to go chevy, put in an old Caprice motor in a bad ass new car....lol. LT1 would have been one of the last motors I would have thought they would have put in there new flagship sports car.

Quality :bird: :bird: Have you ridden in a newer (06 and above) Ford of anykind? It does'nt feel like a typical american car.

Badass cars rolling of the assembly line, then WAM!!!  here come the Pintos, Pacers, and chevette's   :'(

Yeah, not so bad, just razzin ya'. I really liked the Ford 500 we rented out in Cali. Had a CVT. Was nice in the mountains. No shifting of the trranny all the time. :thumbs: The EDGE is nice too. Shared with Mazda. I haven't ever really liked their light duty trucks, though. Heavy DUty diesels are still good

The new L99 (400 horsepower) still produces more than the Mustang!

The production pics I had seen make it look alot different than the prototype.... but maybe it just needed some cool camera angles  :lol:

If you want to start talking optional motors then why not bring up the GT500 :P :P

I dont care, I know that chevy LS motors make serious power, I've whitness my buddies 69 chevelle with 6.0 truck motor with a giant turbo put down over 1100 HP. ERMAHGERD thats a fun car. The car is full weight and not tubed out will carry the front tires for the first 60' of the track.

The SS package will be out next year, but the following year the Z-28 will be back making more power than the SS. I know that sounds crazy and reverse.

The fact that Ford floods the market with Mustangs every year really doesn't help matters much, in fact it kills the guy that has just dropped $50 grand for that Mustang GT500. That guy is lucky if his car is worth $30K after the first year. I wish they would scale things back like they did with the GT40. Decreasing production numbers on the GT and the V6 Coupe would help justify that $50K price tag on upscale models.
