Kenny is this multi strike box your workin on along the lines of a Multiple Spark Discharge box ?

I had real good luck with those in my drag cars, back in the day I ran the MSD 7AL box

Does any one have access to a complete electrical schematic (to include component internals) of the Rappy ???

When that bitch was right it would rock-n-roll. It was rarely right. That is a Jacobs ultra with 60,000 volts. It simply drained to much current through the factory ECM. The impedance was less than 1 Ohm. I could put a 3 Ohm resistor in series and it would live about an hour, but that bitch was screamin' for that hour, so the potential is there. I used an extended tip plug opened to .060" gap, and WOW! I am eyeballing a coil right now that does 60,000 volts, but it has a 3 Ohm impedance. I am also trying to have a multi-strike box manufactured that will of course have multi-strike abilities, but will serve as a "line driver" as well. This will use the box to trigger the coil and completely remove any strain on the ECM. The wire and plug worked extremely well

:wtf: ???

Somebody explain this  to me, I am totally lost. :help:

Colorado700R

the stock ignition, kenny put and aftermarket HP coil set-up on it and the it draws too much juice from the rappy's electronic control module.  I have a theory on how to correct this by capacitor loading, but we'll see

Has anyone figured anything out on this topic?  I have been looking into this lately.  What plug number is kenny using to work with that wire in the previous pics?

Krandall

I've been lookin into and finally contacted Dynatek about their coil.

It's $129 directly from them.. Seems like it could be a decent upgrade. Not sure if there's any reason to be concerned though w/ a hotter spark available? ??? Aaron.... Kenny?

Hello Randy. For comparison, the stock coil is good for about 16 to 18,000 volts. With our DFS7-21 ignition installed, the coils output will increase to about24 to 26,000 volts. With our ignition and DCK7-1 coil kit installed, you can see upwards of 30,000available volts.Thank you,Larry NelsonTechnical SupportDynatek1-800-928-DYNA (3962)http://www.dynaonline.com

If you got the ignition then your looking at 24-26k volts.  Dont know if the coil at $130 is worth 4-6k volts.  Seems just the ignition module is sufficient for the price.

Krandall

bump for aaron and his capacitor loading.

but.. mainly, I'm wondering if Kenny got anywhere w/ the multi spark.
