I don't believe there is a foam filter for the FCI at all

Well there wouldnt be a problem super-imposing a foam filter onto the FCI intake tube... Just have to find the right diameter. They exist in that size, so all anyone has to do is order one up (from uni or twin). The filters are actually pretty cheap @ about 25 each. Can get two of them to always have one fresh in a ziplock!

what kind of gains would i see with this intake over my trinity with K&N? and does the box restrict it any? because i would be running the one with the box.

on your set up u would not see a huge gain from the FCI intake in peak power...maybe up to 1 hp more.....but the benifit of the FCI intake is tuning it to work at higher rpm's and carry the power out longer....this works great on modified motors up around 55 hp and higher that use the higher rpm's...besides that it is cosmetically appealing and has a BIG high quality filter
