Wow that filter looks huge
I can't wait to try it  ;)

How close is the pipe to the filter on the right side?  Any danger of melting the filter or outerwear?

FCI

its has plenty of room. we had 30 dyno runs yesterday. no melting. we left enough room for box also.

Nice work guys.  Now this may be a dumb question but I've seen some k&n style filters where even the end cap is filter material.  Would that make any difference with this set up?

we pefer to stay away from the open end style filters. we have tested them back to back and there isnt a difference. the inverted cone looks cool but is to far away to make a difference.

Thanks for clearing that up, I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a difference.

+1. That's funny, cuz' there's some other people/retailers that claim the inverted cone on the end of the filter is the next best thing since sliced bread

Becuase the area I ride in is a super high dust area, is there a foam filter adaptable to the FCI??  If not perhaps a outwear type lid to catch a little more.  I've found dust in my intake runner with the K&N

Here's the Dyno sheet for the FCI.  Both Stock bikes with Curtis sparks exhaust and no airbox

on the filter bit, they would cost us the same amount to have them made and we choose to run the closed end cap. as far flow goes, we have flowed them both on our superflow and at amount of cfm you pull through ther filter with these engines there isnt any difference.

Will the filter and outerwear be available  for those of us that like to have a spare ready to go?
Rusty

FCI

Yes, we have spare filters and outerwears for sale. outerwear is 15 bucks and spare filters are 54 bucks

I don't know, I went with the FUEL ATV intake from my Trinity with no lid and I have had to add fuel and add fuel to an already rich map and there is a huge power difference. As far as plastic not breaking, here in North Dakota at -45 racing on the lake plastic WILL break.

Do you have any full kits(with airbox) in the first order not spoken for?

If so I want one.
