I found out it was because my wife was checkin in on me at work, on her days off.

happens to me everytime ive got on here for the past month

I had the same problem. I cleared cookies and refreshed everything then logged in and it started showing all the unread posts again.  Give it a try

Clear your cookies, and index.dat files.....

A great freeware tool to use to do this is www.CCleaner.com (Crap Cleaner).

I use it daily, and it updates for free.
