Gas Light Staying On.

Okay, I did a search, so before you tar and feather me..


I read somewhere someone else had this issue. I went to get my quad friday, it had a full tank fyi. I took it out riding, noticed that the gas light was on. does anyone have any ideas?

you double check the electrical connections on the bottom of the tank.  Racing jars everything loose.

it did it before I raced.

Arent' there only connections up top?

Let me do some digging.  Not sure on the gauge system.

Ill bet its some sort of float or something along those lines. Its probabally getting stuck in the empty position.


Take the easy way out and run a 1/2 bottle of seafoam throught it and iI'll bet that cleans the entire fuel system.



Has the bike ever sat for extended amounts of time?

The most it sat was this winter while I was working on my build. Otherwise, it's ridden at least once every weekend.

The Speed Sensor disconnect wouldn't have any ill effects on the low fuel light would it?

Does disconnecting the battery reset anything on the Raptor?

Your power commander can loose the map without battery power.

Yikes, my quad has sat for over 3 weeks & my OEM battery had 1 failed starting attempt last winter, time for a replacement

I didn't disconnect any wires or anything. The timing of it was all to wierd. Because it happend after I loosened the gastank so I could reroute my throttle cable.. It would rev when turning right lol. I'll take the plastics off this weekend and take a look @ it. See if I can find anything.
