Cali is some of the harshest riding I've seen.  It will destroy bikes out there.  Here is not as bad but I would think that a layered skid plate would be the way to go.  Someone needs to start making that.
I'm saving my Tag Metals Glider skid to make a layered plate,  I think that idea is the wave of the future

Is this a million dollar idea? IDK but I'm not going to do it so someone grab this idea & run with it. Just send me 1 for free for the idea.

Has anyone looked at the swingarm skid plate on a preadtor.....*leave your jokes at home*

They are about 3/8th inch thick molded plastic. They are the toughest skid plate i have ever seen!!!!! Sometimes i actually aimed for rock to try to break it and all i could do is put a little scar on it. I hit one rock so hard it about bucked me over the bars
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

Well there is a reason we need to give this dura blue a full look over.  How close was it to the sprocket on the preadtor?

I either had a one in a million rock shot to my plastic skid thus ripping off a rear mount or Predator skids are of very high quality & all MFG's should take note of Polaris inovation in skid plates.  No I'm not being sarcastic, just wish I didn't spend $115 on recycled pop bottles missing a rear mount

Off the top of my head I seem to remember one finger would fit in between the skid and chain.

Seriously go try to find a picture of one. They are tough as nails! The year before last we were in colorado on our yearly trip. My buddy bought a new AC 1/4" thick swingarm skid (125 bones). Long story short, He litterly RIPPED it a new one   there was a 2" gash in it. Both me and my buddys predators were like new! Minus a battle scar or two.

Well looks like I'll be looking into this one.  I have to protect my t-dub since I know if I break it I'll never see a replacement.
