So. As I'm purusing the internet looking for new Raptor Things...
Word on the street. Early next week Rocket Factory will be testing a newly designed Barkers In-Frame exhaust set up. Made for the "big-build" guys

Do you think they would help guys like us?
I'm not sure, that's the only info Tim has released about the pipes. :(
I'm hoping to get on the horn next week with Jason @ Rocket Factory to see if he'll spill any of the beans.

Doesn't matter what you do, someone will eventually come out with something newer or better shortly after you buy yours.
From what I understand of the new offerings imho if you are not in the 800+cc range you will probably be wasting your money 8)
Jason said that he was supposed to be getting some new pipes from Barker a little while ago and when I was there finishing up my bike he said that we could have thrown them on my bike if we would have had them there. I can't wait to see what these pipes are all about, my Monsters might be looking for a new home.
I'm with ya jade. I run pegmount dragpipes but I want to do another build next year(on a rhino)i hope so I am curious myself to see how they work out. If they are designed for the big hillshooters then they should kick ass! I cant wait.
IMO.. I think it'll be hard though to beat full on out of frame drag pipes.. It's hard to bet a pipe that litterally has only 2 bends in it vs. one that' has 4+ bends.

How much time is on your build now?
It needs a rebuild or your just upgrading parts, I'm trying to get an idea of how long these motors will last after the internals are mod'd
Socal - when you build your track you'll need all the jumps to be 90' with a +70 HP build

I don't have much time at all. I'm just going with a stroker build this winter for some more power.
And when I build the table top I'm going to make sure that its big enough that I'm the only one that can clear it.

Doesn't look like that much difference. And what does the can look like?
looks to me like the bends are a bit more cleaner and the megaphone going back is a bit bigger as well. They won't show the cans yet :(

Why wouldnt they show pictures of the cans?
Because Tim himself hasn't shown any pics of the new exhaust

A change might help Barkers become the ideal duals for any 700 application.
I think these pipes are dirrected for the BB stroker dragracing and the cans may not have a sparky or not meet DBL requirements for those that have them. Why show pictures of a can that may not be beneficial to the general public. The dragrace guy that truly want to be the fastest really doesnt care what it looks like as long as it out performs the competition. At least that is my take on things. If they perform on a big engine like they have been shown to do, I could care what the can looks like as long as I am first to the finishline! Just my .02

Thanks for the compliment! I personally like the Looney cans on there over the Barker reverse megaphones. It has the Barker headers but it was about 15 dbl over limit so we had to do something different. On the track it will have the Barker cans, its about a 5 min. swap.

15 db's louder damn
You would not believe how loud those dragpipes are! The reverse megaphones have no packing or anything in them. They are completely hollow inside the "muffler" They work awesome though and are worth about 2 hp over the looney's
15db's that's fookin nuts. I can't imagine that at all. ::)
