So I will be getting the Big 3 in a few days.
Barker Duals
FCI Intake no box
PC3
Anything I should watch out for on the install??
Any advice on mapping the PC3? Do I need to send it out to have a custom map done?!?
Also for those of you who have the FCi intake without the box, where did you attach the PC3??
Seems the Barkers w/ the Billet Clamps have some issues being really close to the Frame on the right side (when lookin from the back)
As far as the PCIII Map. As long as you have a computer you can load maps on yourself :) real easy just install the Power Commander App. plug in the pciii and load the maps :)
You will mount the pciii into the "tool kit" place. Its' built into the rear fenders not the air box.

Most dealers will load your PC III with a base map for your set-up.....Talk to them when you place your order!! :)

the best advice i can give to you is to copy what somebody else has done with thier bike and either borrow a map, or pay tribute for the map. good maps are hard to come by, and if you have a different setup than everyone else, you are kind of on your own when it comes to tuning. finding a good tuner is hard to come by. i am here in canada and a friend owns a shop with a dyno, and the guy who runs the dyno doesnt know jack squat more than what the operator's manual has told him. so take my advice and find a map and build to it until you feel the need to up the ante a bit.
Barks are a tight fit from header to can. I didn't think I was ever going to get my pipe and can together on the right side. Be patient and take a break if they fight with you. I fought mine for about an hour, finally lost my mind and went inside and downed a sodie. Came back out and they went together like butter. As far as your PCIII, it will come with a stock map already installed. There are few places too get a map to download for your setup. Just ask Krandall. The big 3 is a super easy install, no reason to be intimidated by it at at all. Oh and congrats, you'll love it.
here is my deal that i had with my barkers in this thread.
http://www.raptorsource.com/forum/index.php?topic=2425.0
trust me don't be discouraged to buy the barkers from all the "problem" talk of them. they are a tight fit but i figure that would be better then having them flopping around on there. and the power from these pipes is awesome. like 4gunz said just take your time with them.
So any recommendations on a map for the Dual Barker and FCI intake?
i got parts for sale check the FS section

you could have fuelmotousa put a map on it for you when you buy it. that way you just have to plug in it and go ride it. just tell them what you have done or are doing (your big 3 i mean) and they will load it up for you.

well your thread says you're looking for big3.... and i got duals and more for sale... they're on ebay now
IMO
The dealers set there maps a tad to the rich side. I would guess this is to be on the safe side for the average rider. FCI is a member here, I would shoot him a PM, along with tbarker (Tim Barker). I bet you'll get some really good tips for adjustments for either of their maps.

We sell the Barker's Big 3 on our site at www.modsnroses.com with the PC3 already programmed.
You just install the parts on bike and off you go. Free shipping and Starbucks giftcard goes with any Big 3 or Big 4 kit.
You have the options of buying with or without CNC muffler brackets, all colors available.
Best advertised Barker's Big 3 prices on the net. We don't carry the FCI yet, we sell with TRF in-airbox intake which has made substantial gains over Trinity, Pro-Design, etc.
PM if you have any questions.
Rock-on,
Ryan

Check Krandall's site out. It should give you all the maps you need for what your setup is
That was the first thing I looked at before I even made the purchase. I saw that there is a map for the Barker system but it was done with a pro design intake system and I went with the FCI. I know they flow differently but how good will the map work when its was made with a different intake system?

Install your mods, let it warm up...Then ride full throttle for a little ways, and kill the engine. Instantly remove spark plug and inspect color. You are looking for a slightly brown or beige looking plug. Black is too rich. White deposits on electrode mean you are lean and too hot.

no prob...good luck to you.
Thank you for the order! We appreciate it very much. The pc3 was loaded with a map that should be compatible for your exact setup. I do always recommend to do a plug check after a short ride and if there are any issues report back and I can walk you through the adjustments needed or I can do the adjustments for you and email you the new map.
