I doubt it's very accurate wihtout being plugged into the car somehow.

+1
how's it reading stats? ??? ??? ???
http://dynolicious.com/index.html
I'm sure it's a feel good dyno for kids with ricers.

its not really a dyno, it measure speed and acceleration and your cornering g's. its pretty cool and 12.99 vs. 499 you got nothing to lose
Yeah... Good for the developer. cuz' he's making bank. But still ...

It's not accurate. Neither are the ones that you plug into your cigarette lighter.

how can you say its not acurate hwen i put it right next to the spedometer and the MPH readout was withi 1-2 mph? and it takes down 0-60 times that were spot on when i tried it out
I think that piece is accurate, I wouldn't doubt that.. But the measuring HP is bs
LOL i wouldnt trust that. i got the app to do 0-60 times and such. the hp could be acurate but i never tried it. it asks for vehicles weight and percentage lost from engine to wheels. but honestly, who knows that?
the taurus wheel loss is 9%
 totally made that up.
A die hard Viper owner would know that information.
I can tell you the weight of my car, and the percentage loss from the crank to the wheels no problem.
3740 lb weight with full tank of fuel (8 lbs per gallon) and it looses 13% from crank to wheels.
~Brian
well i could calculate it.....
lets see
600 engine hp
550 rear wheel hp
550 over 600
is .91
so 9% loss
that seems kinda low....

I can't speak for the Viper without doing research, but bone stock 2008 Corvettes (6.2L 430 hp, LS3) are running 376 to the wheels without the dual mode exhaust, and 379 with the dual mode exhaust.
The weight of your dad's car should be on the inside of the drivers door on the sticker.

i have to consider weight when i do the drivetrain loss percentage?

Here's a dyno pull at 476 rwhp. 476 divided by 600 = 79%
That doesn't sound very accurate. That's a big big loss, I would guess it would be close to 80 hp loss, roughly 13%. There are some dynos out there on the Viper Coupes at 550 rwhp, and some that are lower.
600hp x 13% = 522 rwhp.

well 476 over 600 is 79% but thats not the number. the percent LOST would be 21%.
476 is waaay low. the ones ive seen on the forum range from 520 to 560, most around 540-550
I guess we can split this thread up.
thanks erich and i didnt mean disrespect by keeping on posting
I'd say 540-550 is pretty accurate on the rwhp.
~Brian
throw some belangers on there and you have 600+ rwhp!!!
From experience, that dynolicious app is sweet.
