Title: Geting ready to make it purdy
Post by: preddy08 on September 17, 2008, 09:47:55 PM
Ok, I figured its time to make the ole rappy pretty and need some input.

I will be buying a TQS graphis kit and was debating on what colors to do. I want the graphics in the black and gray with dark green accents to match a seat cover I'll be getting. Here the link to the disco green I want to put on the side stripe of the seat.
http://www.jettrim.com/swatches/index.php?p=view&galleryid=3

Heres a link to the seat its self.
http://www.jettrim.com/products/index.php?p=images&productid=4&imgid=290

Then I'll be getting a black pro armo grab bar, kill switch, and reverse lever.

Any thoughts? I dont want to do blue, or red. Those are all to played out. Heres a look at my old predator's frame.

Click on the first pic and you can see it alot better. I really loved how it looked! I want the TQS graphics to have some green like that in it too.

Just order up a Jet trim seat today. They are doing a "Von Dutch" pin stripe stiching in the middle of the seat. CANT WAIT!!

It will look like this, but with green stiching!

Phase one is complete. Custom jet trim seat cover is installed.

I have to say that the fit and finish of this seat cover is about as good as it gets! You have so many different options to choose from its amazing. Install took about half an hour from start to finish.

Stage two should be here soon I hope. Color matched TQS graphics kit.

I'm really not looking forward to PCing the frame this winter. Thats such a PAIN IN THE ASS!!!

Last winter I did my predators frame and my buddys predator frame. Thankfully we each bought a spare frame and just swapped everything over to the new one. Even then it took about 4 hours of both of us tag teaming it to get it done.

coming from someone who's already done it.. it's not to bad.. Put all pieces into ziplock bags and label them. makes putting it back together litterally 100x easier!

I'm never that organized. I'll take it apart and toss all the bolt in a big box.

You can hold up ANY bolt off of the predator and I can tell you where it goes and what size it is.

Got it from JetTrim.com. All said and done it was 120 shipped. The people there are REALLY nice and will walk you through all the steps of ordering. I didnt even know that they did stiching other than flames. Turns out they will do flames, tribal flames, and my "von dutch" pin striping.

$120 isn't bad at all
Could they do a step seat?  Similar to a Quad Tech seat?

Yea i do like it alot buddy, has great contrast of the colors and the stiching in the seat is a nice balance. Can't wait to see the bike finished when you get the frame done with that great looking metal flake green and it all put together.  :)

I got a little side track from making it purdy and bought a curtis sparks big core exhaust. DAMN is this thing mean. I did not have a chance to tune it in, but it made a HUGE difference! I am running really fat now, but it'll get me by till this winters build.

I did get the CF hood. Right now it does'nt look to bad, but when I get the TQS graphics in on Friday it will go together quite nicely.

Yup, its for the rear shock. I really dont know why they dont run a piggy back, but it is nice having it up front so you can adjust it with out getting of the quad.

If they make it like that it musta been for a good reason, Elka don't f*ck around! If we meet up for a ride ever, i want to see the difference from my shocks to yours. Then I will probably write a check for 2 grand to get them!  :nana:

They did it to get the heat out of the shock and away from the motor. Much easier to cool the rezzy up front, than when its attached to the shock and behind a motor.

I see, that makes sence. Well still we need to hook up for a ride one day so I can test em out. Just if I dont come back don't worry!
