They are strong, but heavy like the others have said.

If I had it to do all over again, I would have that tirw with ITP t9 black rims!
I think he meant which sand dunes. ;) Types of sand varies alot, therefore tire needs also varies.

My bad. Mostly Oceano/Pismo.
The fancy wheels look killer but they are way heavy and don't hold the bead for shit, you'll be airing them up alot. If you're not worried about being the fastest you can be and like the looks, I'd go for it. The sandstars are a good turning and decent all around paddle as well. If you drag or climb much I'd get a straight paddle instead.
How heavy are the ITP C-Series Type 6 wheels...

Probably about 3-4 times what a Douglas Blue Label weighs...
I personally would stay away from the 12" wheels/tires. Very limited tire selection if you decide to try out something different later. Also the resale will be poor for the same reason.
What are you current mods....what is in the future...??
Here are some basic tire/wheel combo weights....C Series is not on here, but good info nonetheless
I am guessing the C Type 6 would be around 15-20 lbs each; tire and wheel.
21x12x8 Padla Brats Comp cut on 8x8 .125 rims = 9.5 lbs ea
20X10X8 6 paddle std buff Haulers on 8X7 .125 rims = 10.25 lbs ea- Old style Haulers
21X12X8 6 paddle std buff Haulers on 8X8 .125 = 11.5 lbs ea- Old Style Haulers
20x10x8 bead to bead buffed 8 paddle Gliders on .125's 12lbs ea
21x12x8 btb 8 paddle Gliders on .125's 12lbs ea
21x12x8 7 paddle std buff Extremes on 8x9 .125 rims = 13.0 lbs
20x10x8 6 paddle std buff Extremes on 8x8 .125 rims = 13.0 lbs ea

20x11x10 Sand Sharks on 10x9 .125 rims = 16.75 lbs ea

20/11/10 7 paddle Extremes on .160's OMF beadlocks = 19.50 lbs
Im running the sand stars and I love them. good all around. I ride Oregon dunes and sand mountain Nevada. they could use a little more forward bite.(haulers are better for going straight ) but other than that there great.

lucky bass-turd! J/K I have some family in Arroyo Grande and San Luis Obispo. Trying to plan a dunes trip out there in 2010. It is absolutely beautiful down there!
I say combo 1. I love those rims.
I have sandstars on c-series and i dig em
Get the Sandstar 22x8x10 fronts with at DWT .160 wheel. Good floating with the 8" width and lighter rim.
Skat Trak 21x12x8, 7 pdl extremes on DWT .125, 10" wide. Very light package that makes a great footprint for hill shoot'n and will grow for the top end. Go .190 if your jumping.
Those cast wheels are HEAVY.

I wouldn't use paddles there at all either. A mud type tire with bigger lugs would work well though.

holeshot HD's next time 8) should work good all around, as i dont plan on leaving the MX tracks much, but if i do it will just be around the "dunes" area then right back the the track
