So.. St. Paul has been gearing up for this for about 1 year now. And it hasn't even started officially. this was all happening about 1-2 blocks away from my work.. I can't wait to go in tomorrow. ::)   Fuckin hippies.

 Better you than me. I bet its a zoo down town.
Pretty much just got into work. Took me 40 mins today....
The worst it's ever been was like 25 mins. :(
Its kind of a weird state to have the Republican convention anyway. Minnesota is one of the most Liberal states in the Midwest. It kind of sucks for the rest of the state because 90% of the Laws for the entire state come from the Twin Cities.
Makes me think of that system of a down song. Name escapes me. "Battalions of riot police with Rubber bullet kisses, baton courtesy, service with a smile"
I love politics. Ironicallly. Many of the weirdo hippies demonstrating will not actually vote.  Instead choosing to smoke pot and watch anime cartoons.
there's my .02$...now I am broke
well, the hippies started early this morning.
There's a macy's just around the corner from our building.... all the windows were broke. 7 people arrested.
Yesterday I found out to try stopping traffic coming IN to St. Paul. Nearly all the entrance ramps into St. Paul were littered with Nails.
If you get hit by crap bomb or a piss balloon take pics
Can't you tell your boss that your frightend for your safety and take the rest of the week off to go riding?
we get to leave work @ 3:00 if we want. But any time stayed after, we get overtime 8) 8)
and I'm gonna take a walk on my lunch see if I can see any of the action. There's a march scheduled for the hippies @ 11:00

Wear an Obama shirt up in that bitch.
I wonder if McCain is kicking himself in the ass yet for asking Palin to be his running mate yet?
Palin has retained a private attorney to represent her in an investigation into the firing of the state public safety commissioner,
and now the media is rocking the boat over her daughter's pregnancy. I think families should be left out of politics, but the media is out to crucify her.
In my opinion, I don't think McCain made the right choice. I think there were at least two others that were more qualified for the position, that had a much better chance of helping him get elected than Palin. If he can't make the right choice on a running mate, he won't make the right choices as President.
~Brian
lol, I'll have to get an Obama shirt!!! That'd be GREAT!
I agree with you w/ the families being left out. But.. The media looks for ANYTHING to extort the person. Teenage daughter being pregnant is good dirt. McCain made the wrong choice IMO.... I don't know when they do the next big poll, but I'd like to see how many points up or down mccain is since the choice of Palin
I would bet Obama is a +10-15 lead now.
~Brian
Obama's lead is shrinking now. And before the DNC they were trading back and forth.
For me I'm starting to like her. It could be a big plus for him. It brings in a fresh face that people want and the thing with her daughter makes her more "real". They go through the same problems as the rest of us Americans. McCain knew about this before he picked her, so it was no shock to him.
But back on topic.
IT SUCKS TO BE YOU KRANDALL!
But you might as well have fun with it. Mess with the hippies.
" I think families should be left out of politics"
Well said Brian. As well as religion, musical talent etc, drug preference. :grin_nod:

A fresh face? Sure, but she's being investigated for firing of the state public safety commissioner! Not good for someone that has chosen her to be a possible Vice President.
What if McCain passes? Would you trust a 44 year old that has less experience than a mayor of a large city?
I wouldn't.
She's the governor of a state that has 627,000 people. The Mayors of Dallas, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, San Fransico, etc. would be more qualified to be the president than she would be.
~Brian
I don't buy into the argument for her experience, she has just as many issues to face as large population states. That is a crack up if people really think that the Mayor of LA has more responsibility then she does. If I looked at things that way I would be doing the same with Obama, but I feel he has the experience to run the country.....I just can't figure out what change he's talking about, and what I do know I am against.
And look into that investigation, its a standard investigation....and I feel she was in the right. She just pissed off the dude, but she doesn't put up with crap. Can she run the country is McCain passes...I don't know. There isn't enough information out there for any of us to have that opinion.

Well said. Although it is not her fault per se, if she had whipped her ass more as a child and actually tought her values, then she would not have to worry about her teenage daughter getting pregnant because 1 she wouldnt have sex, or 2 she would be educated enough to know about protection and how to use it. Parents need to be parents not friends to there children! The world would be a far better place.

Agreed, somewhat. 90 percent of the blame will be on some douche bag kid that makes her feel better, after being whipped so much when she was younger. He will "comfort her"
But..the part in bold... +1 and don't just hand them stuff. then they expect the rest of the world to continue handing them stuff.

My parents did everything right to teach me what to do and I still went out and did what I want. I took more then my share of ass whippings, but some kids just need to learn the hard way. I have a strong feeling that Palin is a great mother.....the daughter could just be like I was.

great pics krandall. i wonder why most all hippies are old folks and/or homeless people
I just hear RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE showed up in St. Paul yesterday!
After they were told they couldn't play, the crowd started chanting "Free Speech", and when the crowd was being told to leave, they started chanting "F*ck you we won't do what you tell me!"
I just heard this on Sirius #20.....Can you confirm this Randy?
~Brian
If they let rage play that town would get burnt down. I'm a huge rage fan but smart move by the cops. Zach can really get things going and it would of gotten way out of hand. I was at the dnc for the rage concert and that was off the charts crazy.
uh oh you can kiss St Paul good bye if they play

To get their post count up. A problem we have been having lately with the kids....posting nothing but crap.
Aren't there any democrats on this forum to defend themselves...i don't understand why you guys are calling these people "hippies". is just because they are having a demonstration and voicing their opinion against republicans? I used to be a republican supporter but after they sent me to Iraq two times I think I'm done. I've been in the Army for 4years and spent 2 and half of that in Iraq. Do you have any idea how hard that is on a family? Plus let's mention that every year when congress proposed the budget G.W. Bush declined it every time and wanted less pay increase for the military that he put in a stupid ass war. I've see Baghdad more than my own home in the past four years and I KNOW that we have completely wasted billions of dollars and this country will never worth anything! And I understand I volunteered and I will finish my contract and get out of the Army and move on. Anyways I figured someone needed to defend these people. So all I'm trying to say is maybe they have a reason for being there and maybe they have something to say they feel is important. Maybe they lost a son of husband or dad in the war. The whole point of this is I don't think we should be talking smack about people that are just exercising their rights which is the whole reason why we love this country because we have to right to do things like this.
We are making fun of how they try to get their point across. They are not helping the democratic causes at all.
And thank you for your service.
I'm sorry if I offended anyone by using the term "hippies"
I mean it in no degragatory manor. You can ask the member "phaty" I call everyone freakin hippies.
I'm not dem or rep... I'm for whoever can make the best decsions in running this great country that I am MORE than blessed and happy to be a part of. I appreciate all of our military men and women that are over in any country fighting for our rights. I have several close friends over in the sand box as I type.
And there are a few democrats on here. But I think you will find more republicans on an atv forum due to the fact that it has been the democrats closing down our riding areas. Plus most people on an atv forum our outdoor enthusiast (fishing, hunting, atv's, ect.) and the democratic party is anti gun and anti hunting and fishing for the most part.
We are only making fun of the weirdos with weird hair and stupid slogans. Has nothing to do with party. FOr me at least.
It does seem that most of the weirdos tend to be dems...which embarrasses me a little.
I would consider myself a democrat if I had to choose a party. THough i never decide on a candidate til November.
We are not intending to make fun of those who have actual objections to the war etc. It is the goofballs that picket and demonstrate just to be part of something. ;) Sorry. It's Krandalls fault. :grin_nod: j/k
Dude, the "make out not war" gay a$$ stickers are just funny No matter who you are.
haha its all good guys...

yes, yes it is. There are better ways to circulate your opinion than Rioting, dressing like a moron, and painting a picture of an aborted fetus on your truck.
yeah I'm gonna have to agree with you on that one.
Thats what we've been making fun of. The hippie movement is always good for a few laughs.

Aren't there any democrats on this forum to defend themselves...i don't understand why you guys are calling these people "hippies". is just because they are having a demonstration and voicing their opinion against republicans? I'm a registered democrat.
I'm with you man. We were just poking a little fun at the strange folks that are drawn to stuff like this.
I'm very ready for us to withdraw from Iraq. It hasn't been worth loosing 4000+ of our brothers and sisters over there on bullshit intell to start with.

good to know there are people that don't support the war but still support the troops...thats what we really need so we can get the f*ck outta there!
Lets use the oil in the gulf and alaska and pull out money out of the middle east.....send them back to the stone age.
And we all support the troops here.....no matter what party we support.
True very true
well put SOcal...sanctin them to the stone-age, not bomb them. Bring our guys home!
Someone has to police this world. Sad that it always has to be up.

Watching Palin last night would of been worth it for you. She seems like she's ready to take the country over her knee.

kids do dumb things, I like to think I had good parents growing up that would kick my ass if I got out of line. But there were quite a few times I went for the "pull out" method when I didn't have a condom.
What I love about her is she didn't abort her son after she learned he was going to have down syndrome. My uncle has down syndrome and he is one of the coolest guys I know.
I was only kidding.
Yeah, pull out method was the only way for me in school.
~Brian

Yeah...My girlfriend in HS skipped serveral periods too. She had bad female problems. It spooked the hell out of me.
~Brian

Seen them twice, both times I had the urge to kill. Great show.
But still a good call by the cops up there. If they played you wouldn't have a city left.

+1 Was that cost for the city, or revenue brought in? ??? If that is what it cost the city, I would tell them to get lost next election!
