Took it out to the trails for the first time today
power power power!!!!
My tires are almost bald so i dont think i can feel its full power but man is it nice, suspension is smoother than the 350, and it seems to hold the ground better. I opened it up to 4th gear almost maxed out and slowed down. Kinda scared (first ride), but mostly cause i had to make a turn and the back brake doesnt seem to work to well. The front brakes are amazing!
It sounds good with the GYTR and those problems about idle go away once it warms up. My skids took a beating in some rocks, and i have to bend the one under the swingarm back down somehow ??? Ideas?
It is alot more comfortable, except i find myself sitting all the way up close to the gas tank for some reason, maybe i just need to get more comfortable with it. No jumps today, did some 2nd gear wheelies, but they werent very great cause i was on gravel and the tire issue. ::)
Thats all i can think of for now, thanks for listening to me rant
Glad you're enjoying it
It usually only gets better, till you crash! :grin_nod:

tick-tock,tick-tock like the beating of the telltalle heart.......Kyle, It is not getting old....you are a Raptor website member but, alas, no raptor. It is the way of the world. Assume your position, on your hands and knees, right next to Dick 84 and RR. Roll wit it.

glad you enjoyed the new ride!!!!
Don't worry about the stock tires. If they weren't bald already, they'd be in about 2 weeks. Not that great.
What kind of idle issues are you having?
lucky you!...
haha about time one of the 350 riders got smart and got a 700 not a 450  jk kyle and cody

But not really....
Well, the first week is always "damn that thing just haul ass"
After that week, you get use to it
Then, after one month you find that it don't pull that hard and you start doing crazy stuff, like buying suspension, axle, everything, it only get worst... there's no limit
With my 350 i didn't put any mod because I always told to myself that even if mod it, it would be just great if I win against a 400ex....so never bother with it lol The 700 in other hand is another story :grin_nod:

The FI needs to run through it's "Cold" cycle on start up, you should always give it a few minutes before you even touch the throttle.

New spark plug may help?
+1

word. the rappy is pretty gutless cold, I learned that the first day I got it, took it down the raod and it fell on its face. 5 mins later. rippin like there's no tomorrow!
Yamaha says that the Raptor doesn't need to warm up, it's start and go ??? :jerkoff:
