I have the duals, prodesign intake, HC II, 11:1 piston and i need some dang maps to compare to the current one. Please send em to me or something. I had one that was too rich but ran good and i put one on here that evlls1 has and i got spanked by a trx with exhaust and jet kit. Not happened before. Dunno what is going on. My plug looks too white to me now.

Hey guys, I've been working on an Access database of all the PC3 maps I could find (~73) for some time. 

If your familiar with Access you will be able to compare (query) maps by individual mod.  In example you will be able to see the average increase of fuel for a hotcam 2 to your (or similarly modded) bike.  It will work the same for any motor mods effecting fuel delivery (Exhaust, Intake, Cams, porting, valve size, and ignition curve).  Essentially this should give us the ability to fine tune, tweak, or create very effective maps until a dyno can get it perfect.


It's still in process, but I'll post it up as soon as it's done.

thanks.. evlls1 said that the digital read on his Air fuel thing is about 12-13. That is at idle.. im not sure if he has checked it throughout the rpm range. Mine ran like a raped ape with the old map on there but my plug was wayyyyy black.
that would be sweet.. you would think that power commander would already have something set up so that you can enter your elevation and click duals, then stg 2 hc, bla bla bla.. and it calculate what map is just right for you. that would be sweet. Someone can make an ass load of money off of something like that.

Thanks for you guys that supplied me with some maps. i havnt had a chance to load them up yet though.
Anywho i spoke with a rep from PC and was telling him my situation and that you guys have sent me some maps. He says that i should use the LTE, prodesign, lid off, map that is on thier site. He says that the cam isnt gonna make a difference really. I got to thinking about it........ is this guy right as far as the rpms go... 0-6500.. could i try that map + add some fuel to it after 6k rpms. Im gonna try the maps that i have but how do i know when i have one that runs the best. I dont have anything to time myself in the 300ft. I need this thing to be on top of things in 300ft. He says that looking at a plug isnt as accurate as it used to be with the fuels that are used now.

How is the duration of the intake vavles being open NOT going to require fuel adjustment?

I'm with Aaron on this...

I'm not a super motor knowledgeable guy but, if you're holding the intake valves open longer pulling in more air but not changing the ammount of fuel that's dumped in with that air.. you sir will end up running that baby mad lean.

good point. so all 4 or 5 of the maps that i got what if they are different by a decent bit. How will i know which one is better. What if the fuel % is 3 or 4% difference in the maps. If i were to customize my own starting out with the map he suggested how would i do it in certain rpm ranges. would i just need to do 1 or 2 % all the way across the board. You would think there would be a certain setting or method that was "in stone" that you could go by when adding mods.

If my database was done, I could show you  :dunno:  but 3-4% isn't major IMO, I would start with the richer of the maps and lean out as required after plug chops.

i know that running leaner could mess up the quad but it a little lean gonna provide more performance than it being a little rich or how does that work.

a little lean will give you more snap than a little rich.  I would error on the side of caution, and stay rich and lean out as you go, using the other maps to identfy areas to start leaning out a few % in.

I've been told that map changes should be done by 5% or more to make it noticable.  A 1% map change will result in A/F moving .1%  on a dyno with a PCIII

I used the lte one also for awhile. But got another one that seemed to work very well. I will email it to you. I had at the time Barkers,gytr intake w/o lid,11: JE piston,stage2 hotcam.
