Hi,

I'm wondering what I could do to get more from my 700 ? But I MUST keep stock exhaust, as i'm trail riding, and I must keep my stocky...

Everything is stock for now.

Also, is it normal to have hard time to wheelie in 3rd gear ? 1st and 2nd i almost just have to hit gas, but in 3rd... even if I pull the handlebars, it just don't lift up... I have stock gearing with 19" holeshot in the back.

Thanks !

I run a Pro-design intake with K&N filter, PC3, and an aftermarket Phoneix spark arrestor on my stock pipe.  Pretty big power upgrade from stock for about $400 dollars total.

I notice your running YFZ shocks, these probably are making the front end about an inch and a half lower than stock height.  That will hinder wheelies some.

I'm suprised you are running 19s for trails, not much ground clearance with those  ???

I run them because i bought the bike with these, the next will be some Razr2 with 22"... For now, the skid plate just take a beating, and held up great for now, compared to the stock plastic one...  i'm just careful when I see some rocks...

The yfz shock are upcoming, they are in mail right now :)

How is the sound level of your Phoenix Spark Arrestor  ? Does it sound louder ?

It is throatier for sure, but not too loud.

Peelz

+1 on the balance with yfz shocks. Lower front end makes the 700 stay pretty well planted down.
Krandall: "peelz. I'll be real with you. As much as I hate on you for soccer, I really don't mind it"

you can get a aftermarket exhuast and it gives you alot more power and still have a sparky

Not a slip-on though, full exhaust only.

For the price the phoenix SA is, I'll give it a try. For the fuel controller, i'll try to find a deal, here in Canada it's 400 $ for only the PC3. :jerkoff: I've seen some dobeck for much cheaper, but some say that if you plan working on the engine side, they are not recommended.

With a pro-design intake, can you keep the lid on ? Lots of muds these time !

Thanks for all advise

FuelMoto has good prices on PC3's and so do our sponsors, I pretty sure they will ship to Canada

yes the pro-design can run with the lid on, but I would pick up the EDS lid from Steve @ TQS, it'll give you more punch plus protect the quad

I'll take note of this.

By the way, last night I pulled the spark arrestor, just to ear the sound that come out there... It was loud as hell, does the spark arrestor that you suggest me ( colorado ) make it slightly quieter ? Thanks.

I'll be slowly gathering piece for this "puzzle", trying to get un-noticed by the GF

- You know, it's not a modification, it's an enhancer, it will be just more reliable, you woulnd like to come pick me up in the middle of no-wehere don't you ?
- C'mon babe, The other one is all rusted out, i'll have to replace it anyway !
- That was wrongly designed from factory !

I'll try to find some more...   :grin_nod:

It's seems loud in a garage, not bad outside.
