For me, a sound system for the stupid MINI.  They have some proprietary-integrated-with-everything radio.  Bought good speakers, good amp, good sub.  Crap sound because I couldn't (at the time) get away from using the stock stereo.  Now they have filters that give you a decent line out.  MINI stereos SUCK!  I won't mention what all this cost.

Off the top of my head, nothing quick comes to mind for a waste of money.  Maybe one of my earlier paintball guns. I bought an 03 Shocker (electronic gun). Paid $600 for it. Ended up finding out there was no place to fill hpa tanks around me so I couldn't use it.

Id say you wasted your money as soon as you bought the mini, but that's just me... the radio was just icing on the turd cake.

I knew a guy years ago that had a Shocker 4x4.  No idea what the 4x4 meant but it was a fast shooting gun.  HPA wasn't a problem at the scenario games. Rec ball was depending on the field.  He had an autococker for that.  He was a manager of a  bar.

The 900XP, it was an impulse buy. They are fun for fat guys and old people, which I am, but I ride hard and felt like I was in a gocart.

Racers Edge did a number on me last year. Im still pissed about that. But thats what I get for not going with what was already working for me, Barker.

I bought a 72 Cadillac Eldorado when I was a kid. I had an S10 that I blew the motor up in and my mom pressured me into spending my $800 on a caddy from her friend instead of paying for an $800 rebuild. Needless to say that caddy lasted a month before it blew up, I would have drove that S10 for another 2-3 years without a hitch. As a matter of fact I'm gonna call my mom now and give here shit about that.

My old '99 F-150 project truck.  Bought it in 2002 for $9800, dumped about 12k worth of aftermarket junk on it over the coarse of about 4 years...then went four wheeling at silver lake for the first time in 2006.  After that, lowered street trucks didnt have the same appeal to me.  So I sold my daily driver car about a year later and started driving the f-150 daily.  A year after that, I traded the truck in with everything on it for $2500.  ;(

I'd say my deuce and a half is the worst money I've spent, it's just sat in one spot forever, BUT I did have a blast driving it around.  No brakes and all.  Actually EVERY project I've ever bought has been the worst money ever spent.  Except for the boat.  I finished that one and it looks good.  Got more money in my MINI sound than my freakin army truck. 

FN FAL.  Bought used/assembled from a kit at a gun show.  Never cycled right from day one.  At the point, do I send off to DSA and have it rebarrelled and headspaced or buy a brand new one.  Monetary investment will be about the same.

Bought an Audi S4 for 20K. Traded it in 5 months later for 9K after 10.5K in maintenance, then got a Suzuki XL7 on an impulse for 22K and resold it a month later for 17.5K because of financing issues.
