Looks like I am joining Randy in the "No Quad Club"

as of 8:00 am today my YFZ700R belongs to someone else.

A week or 2 ago I mentioned to Tim that I MIGHT be interested in selling my YFZ to build the bankroll for my 4 seat dune buggy.
within 30 minutes he had it sold to a flat track racer in Ohio. his plans are to put in a BIGGER Raptor engine in it and flat track the hell out of it (around 90+ hp)

my priorities have been changing over the last year and I decided it is time to try and get my son more involved in the dunes/trails and I am REALLY looking forward to spending more "fun" time with him.
My son is 10 and has Autism, so buying his his OWN quad is out of the question (for now)
So the 4 seat buggy project will be moved up the list of shit to build now.

I still paln on being around here often.. I can't just quit my Internet BFF's because I quit 4 Wheelers

Its a sad day for sure.. I LOVED that thing like crazy, but it is still exciting to be opening a new chapter with my best buddy

My time at the Rallies will NEVER be forgotten and I will always hold those memories as some of the best times of my life.
and I have made some great friends along the way too!

Awesome, that's fantastic, wait its not awesome that your in the no quad club now but theirs nothing like family time together.

We're trying to get our son into ATV's as well, I don't think its ever come up but our son has aspergers. While I don't know how severe your sons autism is I know that any form can be very trying and greatly rewarding when there is a break through in behavior but no matter what they are our children.

Keep us updated on the buggy build.

You'll sure be missed this year.  If my sister doesn't go I'd be happy to bring an extra bike for you to ride.

Hefe

Thanks Chris.. you are one of those "great friends" I mentioned..

Glad you're finding a way to involve your boy. I hope to meet him someday.

Bittersweet Hefe. :) sure wish I'd have got to ride that thing first...but I totally get trying to include family, I'm trying to do the same.

That sucks, cool to see it go somewhere where it'll be used like it should. But.. like pealer said.. It's very bitter sweet.
When my brother sold his quad. I knew it was a matter of time.
Family time is a good thing

Just means we need to plan other outtings. Life changes constantly. And like you, the rallies I've been part of have been some of the funnest times I've ever had.

I learned so much at the rallies..

for instance... in the desert at night you HAVE to huddle to survive!

Bummer, October will be 2 years since I've rode mine. That's when my dad sold both of his. No one to ride with so what's the point ya know.
