Anyone have any cool tricks for keeping mice out of the airbox on your quad?
Mice keep crawling up into the twins' air boxes despite being stored inside a detached garage. My backyard neighbor is 5 acres of forest so I'm going to be fighting rodents forever and I've got dogs so can't poison the phuckers.

Try Peppermint flavored spice or whatever the stuff is, the kind you use for cooking. A high quality peppermint from say a health food store.... Saturate cotton balls & leave them in a circle around the perimeter of your quad.  That's the advice I was given by a commercial poision control business.  Mice dont like the smell. The smell will wear off so resoaking the cotton balls periodically will be needed.  I haven't tried it.

Kamakazi

use steel wool or those metal scrunchies for washing dishes, throw one in the exhaust and one in the tube of the airbox lid  8)

Funny related story:
When I bought my Z1000, I thought "Boy this thing is tame for a 1000cc bike."  So a few weeks later, the time rolls around for the stock exhaust to go away and I decide to add a K&N while I'm at it.  Come to find out that the airbox is literally half full of f u c k i n g meow mix!  The stock pleated paper filter is packed solid with mouse shit and granules of smooshed up cat food.  Needless to say, it ran MUCH better with the new K&N.

This doesn't help your problem, but I feel your pain.

If dryer sheets work on something as plus-sized Jessica Simpson as a Coronet then I'll give it a try.
