could i have someone slap a level on the front points of a stock front bumper and let me know if they are plumb or not. i need to make sure i get my jig so the bumper is how it is stock.

I don't think anyone's mounts are gonna be exactly the same...those are pretty fragile and bend really easy just touching them, nevermind actually hitting anything.

nothing a slotted hole couldnt fix, plus the stocker plastic bumper should be an exact jig to use

Well I was just saying if he meant the actual mounted bumper on a quad haha. I would just make it off a straight bumper and everyone will have to do a little tapping if necessary to get them to line up right.

the original bumper i made bolted right up to 3 different machines. i guess if someone mounts are that far out of wack they are aware of it and should know an aftermarket bumper won't bolt right up without some slotting to the bolt holes.

do you use solid aluminum warren?  or do you just cut an insert and weld it in a tube then remachine?  Curious what you make these things out of.

hey i have another question for you guys.

what size are the bolts used to hold on the bumper?

My GYTR takes 12mm sockets and the stock bumper uses 10mm...I assume it's a 6x1.0 thread

well i finally got around to talking to a machinist. i will be trying to find a different one though.  he wanted $15-20 per bar. so 6 bars per bumper adds up fast. there's a few other places i have to check yet before i decide.

yeah. that's what i thought. i still havn't found anyone else yet. i'm thinking this may just be a pipe dream unless we get a lathe at work.
