My old man sat me down for a very frank conversation once about science. I sat there bewildered because I thought I was in trouble but he went on and on about how he was impressed with my grades, I was "growing up well", smart but not smart enough when it came to life.
He proceeded to pour orange juice in a glass and said, "This needs some ice".
He came back from the kitchen with a bottle of vodka he kept in the freezer. He pointed to the large mass of ice inside the bottle and the 1/4 cup of Vodka at the bottom. He asked me how we get the frozen alcohol out.
I said to him, "Dad, alcohol doesn't freeze".
He replied with, "See you're smart at science, dumb in life. Stop stealing vodka and pouring water in to fool me."
Grounded for a month.
