for how long? Pretty sure you can find a LOT of places for under 3g's total. but depends on where. You guys ski / snowboard?

We (a group of friends) rented a condo in Dillon Co. Lake front (GORGEOUS view....)

here's a pic:

Plus, its in the middle of Breckenridge, Vail, and Vail Pass.

this is @ vail pass.

nowhere in colorado is worth going for $3000. sorry Aaron.

JK. It is pretty, I just wouldn't know where to go. Had a blast white water rafting out there.

were thinking we would be out there for about 3-4 days. we don't ski or snowboard, although Kaila wants to try snowboarding. we would like it to be near an airport because we would probably fly out.

I go to colorado quite a bit and I love the Breckenridge, fisco area.  I'm acutally headed up there in three weeks. I'm taking the wife up in the mountains in a Jeep. I had to share the experience with her. Being up above the tree line is indescrible!  Are you guys skiers? If not dont worry about it. I've been skiing all my life, but two years ago I took the wife up to breckenridge to go sking and she did great! By the end of the weekend she was doing Blue runs in near blizzard conditions!

Honestly I think Breckenridge is the best area for a new comer to go. TONS of cool little hippy shops to look through. Your litterly IN the mountains!
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

Check these out.

http://www.vacationhomerentals.com/vacation-rentals/Estes-Park-Colorado-vacation-rental-cabin-proID-1943.html  Estes Park is beautiful and has Rocky Mountain National Park ( where Aaron proposed to me) which has breath taking views.

http://pagosahotsprings.com/  This one is very nice and has mountains in view.

http://www.excellent-romantic-vacations.com/romantic-getaways-in-colorado.html  This one has a bunch of different links to check out.

http://www.mtprinceton.com/index.html This is very romantic, and you are backed up against 14er's You have Mt. Princeton, Mt. Shavano, Mt. Antero and more. There is a airport in Salida Colorado which is 20 minutes from Mt. Princeton. You can do snowmobiling and snow boarding in Monarch which is not far from Mt. Princeton.

Snowmobiling rentals and tours. Like Shawn said the Breckenridge area is quite nice and they have snowmobiling and you said your wife wants to try snowboarding.

This should be enough to start you off. Let me know if you need any other info. Oh and my personal recommendations would be the Mt. Princeton area, its one of my favorites and is less crowded that time of year. Good luck!

The place I'm talking about had snowmobile rentals right next door. They drop you off @ vail pass and let you roam!

We had one person come w/ us who had never ski'd or snowboarded before. She taught herself @ Vail. People think you should be a seasoned vet before you go out west, I beg to differ. In minnesota, we have mole hils. They get over run and hard packed. When you fall, you fall HARD! Out west you fall, and its like landing on a pillow. :)
