now what would happen when a car bomb gets parked in there........or a car catches fire after parking........
would they dispatch a firetruck in one of those trays........

Looks WAY cool, I'd park my car there. at least I wouldn't have to worry about f*ck tards putting dings into my door. :help:

I'm guessing also that it has some crazy fire system in there.

1 reply. really, thats it?

That's how I feel about my posts.     "What?!"  I expect pages and spin off threads.

Pretty cool idea.  It would be easy to incorporate some bomb sniffing tech into that too.  As much as the entire system is going to cost, a sniffer shouldn't (opinion) add that much to the overall cost of the project.

I wouldn't want to be in there with a fire though.  I'd imagine they would use a system similar to what's in hangers.  Lots of foam.

One problem I can see would be lines to check in and out.  A shopping mall could really use a system like that but when the place closes it there would be lines longer than Walmart on Christmas Eve.  You would need a LOT of stalls/elevators.  Couple that with the fact that people tend to dick around putting their stuff in the car.  I heave it in there and burn rubber.

Better?   :)

Yeah, thanks Disco Stu.

Good call on the closing call. It'd be sweet, because I'm a nazi about where I park, I fear for door dings.

Me too.  One good thing about a small car is that people have to really open their doors wide or park on one side of their space to ding my doors.  I also park next to nice cars or clean cars when possible.  They don't want dings either.  I always park in the back too.  I am not one of those people that circle for ten minutes looking for an upfront parking spot because it's "faster" than walking.  Pssh... screw that.  I need the exercise anyway.

Didn't Tokyo Drift have a similar system?

This system doesn't necessarily have to be underground either.  You could have a parking garage with the first floor being check in/out and the rest of the building used for storage.  I wonder if it's feasible to renovate an existing structure and convert it.

LOL door dings.... I am pretty good about being careful with that. WHen we were in LA, i parked right next to this shiny new infiniti sports car. THe drop top one. But the rental van....the wind caught the door. Huge gouge in the brand new black paint.... I feel so bad. :)

WHen I came back from loading the car, it was gone. Bet that guy is pissed. :(

Uhhhh, I'll pass.

My dad was at a car show this weekend, he said some dirtball guy pulled in, driving a POS caprice. pulled in next to one of our friends cars. (not sure which one they drove) But, guy opened the door right into their car. Scuffed the paint. Some people just don't have any common sense.
