I don't think you can blame LoneStar. But then again.. I'm sure you talked w/ them on the phone. If they said it'd hold up, they should put their money where their mouth is and back their products..

Before you go and buy a new swinger I think you should really call Lance.. He will 100% back up his product. when I got the one I have now. I told him what I do, and how I ride, he said if it breaks, He'd replace it no questions asked. 8) I wish I would have weighed it. I know it weighs quite a bit more than the stocker. But its a freakin tank.

I've got eyeball engineering A-arms and they are VERY stout! I've fliped my quad 180+ degrees on the trail by hitting a tree at speed and have had ZERO issues.

Thats great that a swingarm company will warrenty a swingarm, but what about the down time, the cost of shipping, replacement bearings, labor costs, what if it breaks off a shock shaft, and worst of all injury. I know when mine broke I just about lost it. Its scarry landing a jump and having your ass end go one way and your fron end go the other way.

To me, its just not worth it. I dont like how the bike handles with anything other than a stock swingarm
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

magic works.

no. I prefer the one piece swingarm. No welds. ;) You know.... stock, how I roll. I don't see a stocker breaking any time soon. The only thing I see as an advantage to the +size swingarms is a gain off the line, not worth it to me.

Bottom line, I think because of my ballz out riding style, most any swinger would break under me except a stocker. I took my swinger to a welding shop today and he said no sweat. I'm going to take him a couple of stock swingers tomorrow and see if thinks he can extend them out for me. Stock length is just to ridiculous for me to even think about, I like full throttle and a +4 is borderline as it is. Lance is on my list to call and I would buy another lonestar, just not their ladderstyle due to my riding style.

extended stock swing arm is the way to go  i got mine done for under 300.00shipped and it is for sure very rugged. kingof bling on modded raptor does them any length and they are braced inside very good. plus they look stock. mine is a +3 in the picture in my signature. and its about the perfect length for me however my fiance disagree's

Stock doesn't break because it's short.  Not because it's necessarily stronger.  I have seen extended stockers break on other atvs.

All i can say is i have abused mine and its held up very good for me. Its very well braced inside the swingarm. and i believe it will hold up better than these other aftermarket swingers. I meen shit whats there to loose you send a stock swingarm and 300.00. Obviously these aftermarket arms are not as strong as what they should be,and with the kind of HP gunz is pushing i dont think stock swinger is gonna cut it  Im looking at it this way you spend 500-700.00 on an aftermarket and they dont hold up,so why not give this route a try for less than half the price

I think part of the problem comes from.. extended swingers I don't think we're meant for trail/mx. They have a limit.. Think how much force is twisting on that swinger when you're power sliding into a corner.

righto. not saying anything about the extended stocker. I have no experience w/ them. Nor have I seen one in person. But I'd think anything +3 or longer will have issues. (eventually)

I honestly think ANY aftermarket swingarm will fail. The shit that I've gone through just is'nt worth it. I've broke two different +2 swingarms from two different companys. Both were built for xc/mx

I'm hoping to get some ride time on the SLC this summer and put it through some abuse.

It's only seen silver lake and the river 4 rides total

Stock doesn't break because it's short.  Not because it's necessarily stronger.  I have seen extended stockers break on other atvs.

to clarify MD...

I don't trust extended stockers any more than aftermarket. the stock is a solid piece of metal...even extended stocker will be weaker because it is separate pieces of metal welded. you are at the mercy of those welds. No offense to those that make them....it is just not for me. SOmething that costs so much , because you are supposedly "upgrading" from stock to it....should NEVER, EVER break. Any so called "upgrade" MUST be better than stock in every way or it is useless. WHy would I pay extra for something that can't even do the job of a stocker? ANything over +2 swingarms make the raptors look silly too. And not as fun to ride (totally IMO of course)

Again, This does not apply to drag racers, which is the point of the extended swingarms, and they work great for that. I am sure there are many out there that do not break as well. BUt unless it is 100%, it is not worth it to me...because I do not ride that much, but when I do, I ride it hard. It is Unnacceptable for any of that time that I get to ride to become rebuild time, or argue with swingarm builder time because I broke it.

wow, that came out extra wordy  sorry. can't really say much more.
